  1. The unspeakable in pursuit of the uneatable? Who cares if it's a bunch of inbred retards chasing the vermin?
  2. It's a contentious subject. I think many of the Brits on here will think about the ban on fox hunting. Lovely creatures foxes. If you're a townie but for the country folk they are serious pest. Fox hunting has adapted but now foxes are rife. To the subject. It's a brutal sport bullfighting but at least the bull has a slim chance. Better than it has in an abbatoir. But what gets me is the end of a great tradition. That's sad. (no foxes nor bulls were harmed during the writing of this post)
  3. You'll have to dig out your old Hammonds sauce TT ruffryder suit then... (Nice find with a lovely hitory)
  4. No he was a Finn: Eero Remes (2011 ISDE entry list). No 32 was Juha Salminen looking slightly ragged. Tony, did you see Salminen at the Taupo ISDE? Man that guy is fast.
  5. 102 kgs. Copey, you do not want to try and race guys like Salminen or Knighter (both trials riders too) in knarly wood/rock sections. http://www.youtube.com/user/KILNUKKA#p/u/9/6r7xDOXvB4M
  6. OK the reason I asked was because in other forums the bike has been received as, possibly, the best looking enduro bike ever. I just wondered if you lot agreed.
  7. It's not often I agree with you but here I do. The 4S rule has been a disaster with one factory having declared that it intends to outspend the others into submission. Let the 2S back in and the fun begin again.
  8. I've put this in here because few read the enduro topics. Here's a pic of the 2012 Gasser enduro bike. Comments?

    Newbie

It seems you MIGHT have a bitsa here. Pic below is of a model 92 (from: Bultaco Model IDs As you see your frame is very different to that in the pic and lacks the bracing elements between the s/arm pivot and the top tube (I thought this change only came with the model 124/125). Whether the ref pic is correct I don't know. However the motor and chassis nums tally so I'm not sure what's up. However if we looke here: Swiss twinshock site it seems that your bike is correct. John, Woody?
  11. Completely different. The seat base on the 348 points downwards, on the 247 it's horizontal. I think those tanks on SM are just the covers as per the UK model. *edit* yes it is: 348 tank cover
  12. They are both 199s. As long as it's mechanically sound I'd go for the top one because it's more original (apart from the seat of course ).
  13. Last week, she checked into the caravan park in Bundaberg Queensland in a cabin and was a bit lonely. She thought, "I'll call one of those men you see advertised in phone books for escorts and sensual massages." She looked through the phone book, found a full page ad for a guy calling himself Tender Tony - a very handsome man with assorted physical skills flexing in the photo. He had all the right muscles in all the right places, thick wavy hair, long powerful legs, dazzling smile, six pack abs and she felt quite certain she could bounce a sixpence off his well oiled bum.... You get the picture. She figured, what the heck, I'll give him a call. "Good evening, ma'am, how may I help you?" .. . . Oh my, he sounded sooo sexy! Afraid she would lose her nerve if she hesitated and she rushed right in, "Hi, I hear you give a great massage, I'd like you to come to my room and give me one. No, wait, I should be straight with you. I'm in town all alone and what I really want is sex. I want it hard, I want it hot, and I want it now. Bring implements, toys, rubber, leather, whips , everything you've got in your bag of tricks. We'll go hot and heavy all night - tie me up, cover me in chocolate syrup and whipped cream, anything and everything, baby. Now how does that sound?" He said, "That sounds absolutely fantastic, but you need to press 9 for an outside line." =========================== Boom Boom ========================================== At a wine merchant the regular taster died and the director started looking for a new one to hire. A drunkard with a ragged, dirty look came to apply for the position. The director of the factory wondered how to send him away. They gave him a glass to drink. He tried it and said, "It's a Muscat , three Years old, grown on a north slope, matured in steel containers". Low grade but acceptable. "That's correct", said the boss. Another glass.... "It's a cabernet, eight years old, a south-western slope, oak barrels, matured at 8 degrees. Requires three more years for finest results.." "Correct." A third glass... ''It's a pinot blanc champagne, high grade and exclusive'' calmly said the drunk. The director was astonished. He winked at his secretary to suggest something. She left the room, and came back in with a glass of urine. The alcoholic tried it. "It's a blonde, 26 years old, three months pregnant and if you don't give me the job, I'll name the father." =========================== Boom Boom ========================================== The Irish Millionaire The Irish Millionaire Mick, from Dublin , appeared on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' and towards the end of the program had already won 500,000 euros. "You've done very well so far," said Chris Tarrant, the show's presenter, "but for a million euros you've only got one life-line left, phone a friend. Everything is riding on this question. Will you go for it?" "Sure," said Mick. "I'll have a go!" "Which of the following birds does NOT build its own nest? a) Sparrow Thrush, c) Magpie, d) Cuckoo?" "I haven't got a clue." said Mick, ''So I'll use my last lifeline and phone my friend Paddy back home in Dublin ..." Mick called up his mate, and told him the circumstances and repeated the question to him. "Fookin hell, Mick!" cried Paddy. "Dat's simple it's a cuckoo." "Are you sure?" "I'm fookin sure." Mick hung up the phone and told Chris, "I'll go with cuckoo as my answer." "Is that your final answer?" asked Chris. "Dat it is." There was a long, long pause and then the presenter screamed, "Cuckoo is the correct answer! Mick, you've won 1 million euros!" The next night, Mick invited Paddy to their local pub to buy him a drink. "Tell me, Paddy? How in Heaven's name did you know it was da Cuckoo that doesn't build its own nest?"
  14. Brilliant, but agree with stix andstones. Who are the riders? They're quite good.
  15. Shame on you David , I was expecting a more comprehensive reply from you

    225 kit

Wouldn't you need to change the rear sprocket too?
  17. Modern synthetics can be run down to about 70 to 1 but on a 348 I'd hang around 40 to 1. Tssk, philistine! No it's premix. There is no autolube pump They will start with 51M. This is confusing because the 349 model number was also 51M. Montesa model nums are a bit of a dark art. ?? Same question was asked in the Montesa forums a week or two back. Just do a search but Todotrial has a scanned copy. Err, not really. It's not a new(ish) bike so it's really up to you. All an inspection will do is give you an idea of how much you might need to spend depending on the standard to which you wish to restore it. WTF is Gateshead? ATF I think. Can't remember whether the Mon t has a sperate clutch and gearbox resevoir. If it's common use ATF.
  18. Bloody hell Copey. Keep yr head down mate and make sure that pool of yours is topped up.
  19. Don't get ahead of yourself there Jon I know nothing about them so I'm happy to yield to somebody who does. Gordon Blair passed away? Sad news indeed but I was under the impression that he was more of a 2T man and more specifically expansion chambers. *edit* "However, he also decided to start a brand new chapter of work and educate himself in the area of engine design that he had previously had little experience and that was 4-stroke engine valve trains." from: The late Gordon Blair OBE
  20. Cool. Good thing Jeff Ward wasn't riding! Who was that Italian Aprilia tester who only rode one 250cc GP a year and won it twice in a row at about the same age?
  21. There's a guy on TC (JSE I think) who has a lot of experience with side valves and reckons done well they are pretty good.
