What other forums do you post on? Viz?

Does it matter? By the time the link goes dead the thread will be buried anyway. Worth the short term laugh IMO.

I very much doubt that a real pro scene is possible outside Europe. The concentration of skill is so concentrated and entrenched there that it will never be moved.

Aha! Trade secret......
go to: Xispa thread, right click on the tumbleweed smiley - copy image location, paste that link into your posting as a graphic.

Not really Lee. The 2002 pro was a dog of a bike. From 2004 and they were very good indeed.

I thought it was about the XPA/Xispa being a rip-off of the Sherco.

Oh all of this precedes Brussels prodigious appetite Wayne. It goes back to Thatcher cutting UK industry loose. Sink or swim. Sadly much of it sank before it could adapt.
(actually I was winding up that die-hard Thatcherite AKA AtomAnt).

That the green-eyed monster then Ian? If their local authorities offer more support than those in the UK then good luck to 'em. Perhaps if UK government had been more supportive of UK industry we would still be in awe of UK giants like ICI, ICL (I'm not sure that Leyland is a good example ) etc and 3 in ten would still be involved in manufacturing as opposed to 1 in ten.

Peter, if you take your shoes, backing plate etc and hub (wheel) to a brake relining shop they will machine the shoes to fit.

Is Lynn still going? I thought he'd sold up and retired to Monaco

To be honest Jimmy I wouldn't imagine there would be much support from the riders.
Having spent much of their twenties driving all over europe I doubt whether any of them would be too keen to repeat the experience.

As far as I know the kick start shaft is unavailable.
There is lots of crossover with parts between the Italjet and other Italian brands of that time but, sadly, the kick start shaft is not one of them.
What were they like? Not bad. Not bad at all.

Yeah, I don't get it either but it's Andys site so it's best we respect his wishes.

Did you bother reading the link?
-
-
Yes but -100 because he wasn't armed

Do you really think it'll make any difference?
Anyway, Bin Laden is the new Elvis.

Prince Charles must be so proud, it's not every day you see your only son get married....

Not according to this: Super Hunky
Honda have done well from trials. Not financially but, as mentioned in this thread, from technological cross-pollination. The RTL short stroke Honda trials bikes of the late '70's and early '80's provided technical input to the XR's of the early '80's.

Wait until 'ealth & safety get hold of that
