Ooh, if it's like a Gasser there's a little stamped steel doodad that fits between the spring and the springs mounting point on the s/arm. Just remove the doodad.
That's about it. I had a look at a clean 125 in NZ but walked away when I found that you can't get tyres.
If memory serves 20" and 17". If it's any help the Montesa Cota 123 uses the same sizes.
Fibreglass tank? You have an '80 model. Standard they came with a plastic tank. I haven't heard of a fibreglass tank on this model. The UK models had an aluminium tank with a fibreglass cover and not level sight.
The grommets are a bugger. If you can find a suitable size it/they will probably deteriorate when exposed to petrol.
*edit* if you do have a fibreglass tank then I suggest you plug the holes with fibreglass and rig something up to maintain the apperance of the fuel level pipe. If you have the plastic tank I'm afraid it's pretty bleak unless you can find the correct grommets that are petrol resistant.
Hi Lance, welcome
I would imagine that a phosphor bronze bushing would be adaquate but there will be others who will jump in with a more informed opinion. Alternatively drop Dave Renham at Bultaco UK or Hugh Weaver at Hughs Bultaco a line.
Aye but grip isn't exactly at a premium at your place. Try NZ. You can spin to a halt on a soccer field. I sh^t thee not.
I think what dbf means is that the rider is the constant in this case. The bikes are the variables.
Wish I could remember where I saw it. I do remember checking it wasn't the "day of the innocents".
Anyway I'll yield. Apologies if I got everyone into a froth.
You'll get used to it. In my experience nothing really works. I've tried bandages and many others. Just wait until the callouses appear and you'll be ok then.
Now that Montesa have nailed their colours to the mast by announcing that this year Bou would ride a prototype in the world rounds and production to follow next year has anybody seen any spy pics of the new beast?
