  1. Trials teaches techniques that are very useful in enduros (like nose wheelies. They save a lot of time getting round tight downhill corners). Trials also teaches you how to pick a line.
  2. Reads like an old Bultaco hand book. So is your apostrophe key
  3. Hmm, two friends were killed in a trial in a head-on. It's become the stuff of legend and I'm occasionally asked if it's true and it is. Also Malcolm Davis was killed in a trial.
  4. Possible? Yes. Diesel bikes, although rare, have been around for yonks. Puzzling thing is that the British Army standardized on petrol so why would they want a diesel bike?
  5. Late 70's/early 80's actually. Width wasn't the reason. It was to stuff as many valves in the pots as possible.
  6. Bogrolls (plenty of 'em. Nothing worse than needing a #2 and having only nettles at hand). Wetwipes. Great for a quick clean up after a ride. Panty liners. See thread about goggles for heavy sweaters. Bin bags. Good for light rain protection and brill for stuffing muddy gear/boots into after a ride. Come on, fess up what else have you in your gearbags?
  7. Good points and ones that are difficult to deal with on these forums without upsetting some or all of the sponsors and, consequently, Andy. And you don't want to do that do you? I've had dealings with Birketts on behalf of a friend and I concur with the other posters. So I doubt you'll have a problem there but it does make sense for the agency to pass to MRS now that Scorpa are owned by Sherco, In the last few years we've seen Scorpa go to the wall and be bought out by Sherco and we've seen the introduction of three new brands viz: Xispa/XPA, Ossa and, now, Jotagas. I doubt the market can support more than three or 4 vendors especially in these tight times. I think many will agree with (especially Dabster). So I'd not be worrying about Birks but about Scorpa proper.
  8. I've taken a lot of flack for this in the past and I'm likely to do again but it works. Slip a sanitary towel on the sweatband in your helmet.
  9. Oh ok for you non-Dr Who fans, this should explain it. It was one of the most terrifying Dr Whos I have ever seen. Don't blink
  10. Don''t blink (the UK folk will get the reference. I hope)
  11. What's very big, got curly hair and is guaranteed to hurt sensitive little c..ts? Jeremy Clarkson.
  12. (somebody had to do it..)
  13. Oh I'm not saying Rob didn't wear Clice just that I don't remember. I reckon it does look a bit like Rob but without his usual beaming mug. Whoever it is looks quite serious.
  14. "My beards more raggady than his"?
  15. Why do you say that? Having lived in Africa and watched African govts completely wreck advanced infrastructure and then sink into civil war I'd appreciate you telling me how India might be another Africa.
  16. Rob Edwards???? Surprised! I didn't know he wore Clice. Harry Everts, I'm surprised he could squat like that. I've met Harry and he can walk but not run. He had polio as a kid. Anyway, make that four I know.
  17. Its not the best coverage but go to Youtube and search for "tvfim". You'll find the vids in that channel.
