    Yes this happens if it has got really hot and seems to separate out the solids in the coolant my 06 was just the same .if they have boiled up badly it will corrode the inside of the pump housing,this happened to my mates bike. You need to change the coolant at lest once a year and if it's been boiling up replace it.

    i have got both 07 290 sherco and 06 250 beta did the same just wanted a change after two betas .the sherco is quite a lot different to ride than a beta aswel. the build quality on the sherco is not a patch on the beta though and needs parts changing under warranty due to build quality straight from the crate!I will be getting another betaThe back up you get from lampkins is second to none.

    i have one clutch cover off the ebay seller and the quality of this item is spot on they fit like a glove and go straight on.had my set on two bikes now they are of the same quality as trick bits parts they are as said on here before a lot better in the flesh than in the pictures.mine have took some big hits and still going strong highly recomended!

    Yes allens on 01949836733 these stock all spares etc. for all the leading makes of japanese carbs they really know what they are on about.

    Yes there are swing arm covers by mitani fork leg covers and front pipe protectors by jitsie also engine case protectors on ebay but these aren't carbon fiber but look like it ,but are cheaper. Had them all on my bike except s/arm covers and all work well!

    I guarante that if there was a second route and people got word of it within a couple of years you could double the entry any good trial will draw in the riders and this is one of them!

    With out any doubt if there was a clubman route it will appeal to the masses as this has happened in the past with lots of the other bigger trials !

    Just got 07 290 and on looking at the bike have noticed the underside of the tank is all deformed with a large crease in it which must do no good for the extra 500ml fuel capacity it has gained on speaking to the dealer they say they are all coming through like it! has anyone else suffered this on theirs.

    If they have changed it, it does not look that different i'm supprised beta have not made more of an issue about it ! I suspect it's more of a case of minor mods to the older frame rather than a major re design. if the tank has been squeezed in by 25mm i wonder if it still has the same tank capacity!

    YES THE GUSSETS ON THEM HAVE BEEN FULLY TIG WELDED ALL THE WAY ON BOTH SIDES BUT STILL PERSIST IN BENDING! I HAVE NOTICED THE NEW 07 BIKES HAVE ALL NEW FRAME LOWERS AND MOUNTINGS PERHAPS IT IS A COMMON DESIGN WEAKNES.

    IS IT JUST ME OR DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANY OTHER PEOPLE. MY FOOTREST BRACKETS ARE ALWAY'S BENDING WITHOUT BEING HIT! THE RIGHT ONE IS WORSE THAN THE LEFT, THEY BEND DOWN AND BACK . I HAVE STRAIGHTEND THEM AT LEAST FOUR TIMES AND WITHIN A COUPLE OF TRIALS THEY ARE STRAIGHT BACK WHERE THEY STARTED.THIS CAUSES THE RIGHT HANGER TO RUB ON THE CHAIN ON THE INSIDE MAKING A RIGHT RACKET POXY THINGS.PS I'M NO BLOATER!

    IF I WERE YOU I WOULD STICK TO THE MONT YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR MAINTAINENCE IS LIKE IF YOU GET SOMETHING OTHER THAN A BETA YOU WIL NEVER FINISH A TRIAL!

    I HAVE ALSO SEEN THESE COVERS IN SATIN FINISH BLACK WHICH LOOK PRETTY GOOD ASWEL. IT'S A SHAME THEY DON'T MAKE COVERS FOR THE FRAME WHERE THE INSIDE OF YOUR BOOTS WEAR AWAY AT IT WOULD SAVE THE BIKE, AND YOUR BOOTS TURNING ALL BLACK FROM THE ALLY!

    two of my frirends run 4rt't and both of them suffer from nearly being impossible to get into neautral when running. this is due to clutch drag ! motul 300 v in g/box works well but they still do it. Montesa 315's used to suffer the same fate till you fitted honda cr 250 friction plates.

    I have a set of these on my bike and think they are excellent. If they save the casings from damage which they have, that could end the trial weather they look good or not is imaterial! cast casings are a good idea but if they are going to cost naerly as much as ones on the bike whats the point ,and without making them a lot thicker i cant see them being any stronger.

    In my poinion the best built and most reliable four stroke is the montesa . The best built two stroke is the beta ,they are very easy to maintain aswell!

    yYou should be able to blitz those section's on that all powerfull monty doogle! just remember keep that throttle pinned!

    Yes exctly the same as my 06 bike mine kept dying at low rev's and cutting out ,ok at high rev's.Found all crap in switch so junked it all is fine now!

    There are quite a few 05 bikes about with 06 plastics & decals fitted as thereis no way to tell except frame no's!

    There are no noticable differences between the 06&05 my brother has an 05 my mate has an 06 and you can ride them back to back and they are the same . the clutch action is a little different apart fom that nothing !
