The 13 tooth gives you a ratio where 1st gear becomes in-between 1st and 2nd.I don't use second in sections at all unless it's a blast up a hill etc.it's a gearing John lampkin recommended for the ssdt.just what I've used and find it really nice and easy to ride.
I've got a 2010 evo and I Had the same problem as yourself.I've put a 13 tooth sprocket on the front and that has made 1st useable for everything a clubman would need.if you give this a bash you will need a longer chain as the standard chain won't stretch!cheers
you can get a big bown conversion for your carb and you could also try taking the spacer between the cylinder head and black rubber bit, cant mind the name of it haha!!
I BEG TO DIFFER THERE CLARKP!I THINK THE REAR MUDGUARD LOOKS THE DOGS TESTIES!MUCH BETTER GRAPHICS.HOPE THATS JUST A MOCK UP FRONT HEAD LIGHT THOUGH!NOT NICE!
hey gary happy birthday! hope you had a good 1!sounds like it!sorry we couldnt be there the oldboy ended up having to work!gutted i missed it. all the best!
i had a sherco one piece suit but a change of bike forced me to get rid of it.ive now got a hebo pro07 and its alot better than the sherco one was.theres more padding about the knees and seems to be better quality material.ive found they are alot warmer than trousers and a ridding jersey and alot more comfartable.cant say anyting about the raw sport stuff but my suits cost me round about
the sherco sounds fairly high tech for their 1st 4t!?is it possable that they have got it spot on 1st time out? think there will be afew minor probs with it myself.its suposidly a very simmilar bottom end so thatll be the same mains bearings as previouse years and there not exactly the best and most durable.looks stunning though could be tempted.think ill wait till theres been afew realy tested before i put the order in.
think the wheels are stinkin!not a big fan of coloured wheels, some bikes look the part but once you blooter them off that first big rock puting a huge scrape on that nice new anadised rim it would near bring you to tears.
ill be there it was a brilliant trial last year probably the best lochaber club trial of the year.apart from chris's doggie observing.jus kiddin.wot bike are you getting ?staying with the beta i hope!!! and gav why dont you just leave for college on monday mornin?
Can you shed some light on this?.. different, how? Does it turn better / worse? Make more / less - smoother / snappier power? etc.
OBTW, change your personal settings to show your location...
the beta is so much easier to move around on than the sherco.it grips a hell of alot better!and i just think the power is so much better aswell.its not quite as responsive as the sherco but it has alot more grunt.the only thing i dont like is that there is not asmuch crome parts on it so im lookin into getting a polished frame if it is possable just to make it that we bit different.
clarkp i have changed my profile to show my location.
cheers for all the help and info guys.got the bike afew days ago and its brilliant.totaly different to the sherco.made it through the trial on sunday so im happy with that got off to a good start on the bike so aslong as it keeps running ill be sure ive made the rite move.thanks agen.
after 3 years with sherco ive decided its time for a change and i think beta is the way to go?but the problem is that the stators can be a bit doggie?i have heard this is only the case with the 270 betas?can anybody tell me whether or not this is true as i am planning a 250 and i dont want to hav to be replacing stators ect..also after you replace the stator can or do they go agen?any sensible comments will be appreciated.
cheers nigel.im using the strange noise in my shocker as an excuse for my resent poor riding. ill get the shock taken out and see if i can see a problem if not ill get it sent away.
the sections arent to bad the boys have gone 2 alot of work 2 find new and unused sections.so there is alot of new stuff.i think it will be mostly burns most of the lochaber trials are.should be a brilliant trial.
i wouldnt worrie about it to much sandy although you did ride the A route as im a witness to that.the boy who won also got disqualified for the same reason which i dont understand.well i didnt see jamie munn ridding so i cant be sure wether or not he rid the A route but i no you did so why you got disqualified i am unsure.just keep your head up and at stonehaven just do even better and prove you should have got points.
brilliant trial to day.excellent day out even though i burst my mudguard going through those trees on section 4.they were well dogie! glad to see so many lochaber boys managed 2 get out of bed and make the journey aswell.well done boys.
