i guarante for the club riding we do gavin you will have no trouble with the frame!they are as solid as any frame it mite not have the beef the montesa frame does but its just as strong and looks wayway better polished!
do you realy think all the protective bits and pieces are nessesary?after all it is a trials bike not a show piece unless that is what you are planning?i think if you dont fall off and ocasionaly break things you are not trying hard enough but that is just me. not meaning 2 have a big or anything.its just my opinion.no matter what the condition(unless its been run into the ground and fallen to bits) when you come 2 sell it on you are still going 2 get roughly the same price as any other Montesa of that age?you could just save your money and replace the bit you damage eg.levers, grips, tyres and ive seen even the best of local riders breaking mudguards on montessas because of there awsome power.
dont blame you for wanting to keep your bike in imaculite condition though!
can anybody tell me wen shefield will be on tv or if i have already missed it?men and motors just seems 2 be showing hong kong over again?so if anybody could shed some light on the situation that would be great.cheers
just got back from shefield about half an hour ago.it woz a totaly brilliant nite and the best man won on the nite! atmosphere woz brilliant and i thought graham jarvis had an exilent ride, the best ive seen him preform.sean morris was also exilent to be the first rider out for his 1st time must have been very intimidating but he still did very well.but does anyone else think that wayne kershaw and martin crosswaite can put the riders off at times?anyway cant wait till next year!
all i think you have to do to enter the scottish school boy trials is get a copy of an entrie form afew weaks before the trial send it away with the entrie fee and turn up.you can download the entrieforms from the sacu website i think.and yes im planin a Montesa for 2005.just got alot of new bits and pieces for the sherco so im stickin with that just for now.good choice going with the mont chris.
everybody has their own style of riddin wether it is filking it around corners or jus simply turning.i personaly think flik turns can be a help but can cause you a 5 because of the no stop rule depending on the observer.so if you can flick it about use it if needed but if not dont what ever ridding style works 4 the ridder.
i have a trials cycle and have been ridding 1 for bout 2 years now.i found it improved my technique and ballance.i also found that i could adapt the techniques 2 the motorbike eg.flicking it about ,hopping,WHEELIES,stoppies and it also improves bike fitness.so i think it definetly helps 2 train on a push bike/trials cycle.
im sure i did no win the Bs today.had a poorish days ridding could have been better but it woz a brilliant day out.brilliant trial and the sections were excilent.
i dont think any bike comes close to the power of the mont.they are unreal and pull on anything.jus a problem with weight?im plannin a Montesa for my next bike.
where would the trial be held?is there any chance of it being about the border so sum of us highlanders can travel down.would love 2 give it a go.would be a good laugh.
ive found that gaerne dont have enough padding in them.i wear hebo's an they very comfartable with plenty padding.also very stirdy providing alot of support for ur ankles.could wear them all day.
have to say the look of the 2004 model does it for me.ive rid the 1999,2000,2001,2002 and 2003and out of them i have to say the 2003 rides the best.yet to try the 2004. :hat:
alrite chris, sandy and gavin.i was speaking to allan simpson and he told me they are going 2 roughly lay out the trial tomorow so if we went up we could be acused of cheeting.but any time use want 2 go round after the trial i canshow use sum new stuff they wont use cause its 2 far up the hill but its a good run .just give me a shout.
there plannin on makin it a hard trial but they mite change there minds.from what they were sayin 2day it wont be 2 bad 2 be honest.but you dont get better by riding stuff you no you can do.and in the end it just a day out and a bit of a laugh anyway.
