    Drowning

On the Mobil 1 issue. I've run my bikes on Mobil 1 for years and find it the best oil available. It's won awards worldwide for its great lubrication from cold right through to the extremes of racing engines including F1. It's not cheap but IMHO well worth it. It even cured clutch drag on a 98 gasser that had dragged since new like many did at the time.
  3. I ran my beta with the switch shorted out for two years without ever noticing the difference of running slightly cooler. The fan never burned out either. When I did replace the switch it was one of those like the gasgas that fits in the hoses and I got it from none bike shop source and it was cheap. If only I could remember where I got it. I'll keep thinking and if I remember I'll let you know.
  4. John Lewis' do a nice range
  5. Hey bigfoot ,hows the right leg? do you remember anyone getting a clean for a section they 5'd .......hmmm I don't know what you're speaking about mate. I hope you're not questioning an observers decision.

    04 Pro 300

Thanks Tim I'm going to work through it myself first before calling on assistance. It's just nice to get some contacts in case I'm still stuck. I think the starting think is just going to take practice. I getting on better now but it takes some kick to getting it going first time.
  7. Not for long I would think.

Do you have an email address for him?
  9. In the first picture I was saying to Boofont. Watch this Kinell guy through the section first then avoid the line he ends up on.
  10. I've never heard of a bike that knocks of flat ground and is fine without more investigation. As I said it could just be a little pinking and that would be OK as long as its not to bad. Pinking does create forces on the top end that will eventually damage it if left unchecked. I would suggest you get someone in the know locally to listen to it and advise you.
  11. Is it just on flat ground? It's probably pinking but without more info we'll struggle to help. It's usually easy to check pinking by giving it some sharp bursts of power. Pinking usually shows up just as you let off as a sharp knock.
  12. Greg's been a bit quiet since the weekend (Bit out of character). In fact he's been quite since Cameron started asking about who took her to bed.
  13. As you know I sapped out well before the wee small hours. It was the early hours I was speaking about. If I had thought she wouldn't know who took her to bed I may have stayed up
  14. If it wasn't for the HL alarm clock none of us campers would have got up in time for the trial. Remember HL a tent doesn't offer any sound deadening and we all heard everythink you girls said in the morning, and I mean everything.

    Mctrials

Les It's been a while since I saw you on here. I'm back over in Houston in a couple of weeks. Are there any trials on in the local area? You'll remeber last time I came up to see you I'd missed one by a couple of days. I'd just be coming along to spectate.

    04 Pro 300

I got my new gasser 04 300 in time for the weekends TC trial. It wa great and I love it already but I have a couple of questions. The bike is very difficult to start when warm or hot and not easy when cold. It seems to need priming and then a huge kick to get it started. It actually feels like it's not producing a spark unless the kicking revs are up fairly high. I'm sure I will get better at it but don't think I will ever be able to restart it in a section for instance. Has anyone else found this and sorted it? It ran fine all day on Sunday but ran with the fan on a lot and boiled over slightly at the end of the first lap. It this normal or what should I be looking for? It could be connected to the starting issue above. (maybe running to lean)
  17. If you weren't you bloody well should be.
  18. Just read the results. Well done dabber for top TC entry and Greg you lucky B*****d if it wastn't for not seeing the left hand end card on section 9 I'd have beaten you. There's always next year.
  19. I'd like to add my thanks to the club for all the organisation and running the event smoothly on the day. They were also very friendly and made us travellers feel right at home straight away. Also to Andy for all his hard work. I thought the course was good with only one section slightly too difficult (that's the one I crushed the tank on my 48 Hr old bike on). I need to remember to pace myself next year. Started drinking at 1pm and couldn't stand up by 11pm. Great shame on me, I was one of the first to bed. I did hear of a young lady who's not sure who took her to bed but that's for another topic.

    Rules

Rabie I think my one originated on either the ACU or FIM website and was added to and the text changed to improve it. Hopefully Andy will make it available in this thread. I don't have webspace to host it even though its only 500Kb.

I'll send a copy to Andy and see if he'll make it available for here. It actually a butchered copy of an FIM document that I downloaded sometime ago. It's great for no stop rules and regs through.

Boofont I did one for the club. I've emailed a copy to you. I've just looked at the one Kinell suggested and its good but not easy to print out and give to someone. Also our trials up here are no stop and the on-line on allows stopping even with a foot down.
