  1. I'll be down around lunch time Saturday and camping for the night. Well I'm going to pitch a tent but from what I've heard I may spend all night drinking and not get to use it.
  2. I agree he does make some good points but it's the riders I'd like to hear from on this. I had a friend who rode the last two days after being excluded. He did so on the original bike. I'm interested in whether the rider still riding for an award agree with letting those who have be excluded for what ever reason. If they don't mind then it's surely in the interest of the organisers to allow them to continue on. After all they have spent a long time preparing and a lot of money to get to the event. I agree that if your bike in knackered then you out. You shouldn't be allowed to change bikes at anytime after scrutineering.

    04 Gasgas

Thanks JTT I've also read soemwhere else in this thread that it's worth putting on a mud flag, lower frame guard (whatever that is) and a bigger rubber boot on the upper frame (again I don't know what or where this is).
  4. Thanks Neonsurge got it now and ready to program the route. Are you riding the trial?

    04 Gasgas

Ok guys and girls I know it's been a long time since I started this post but at last I've done it. I've ordered a GasGas 300 pro. It should be with me in the next week or so. It's coming to me still in the box. Can anyone provide a PDI list for me to go over. I know all the usual stuff but am interested in any specifics for the 04 GG.
  6. I've found a picture that shows the rock. I've shown it's route in yellow dots.
  7. I wish I'd taken a photo of the big one (he moved a lot) Jarvis moved on Gearadh. It was a full two and half feet round and eight inches high. It must have weighed a couple of hundred weight and was moved a good two feet to make a nice smooth run over what was a small step.
  8. Can anyone give me an OS map reference for the trials venue. A Lat/long would do or even normal directions from the nearest large town. I want to input it on my GPS so I get there without touring the country side for hours.
  9. How is the entry looking now? My one was delayed (I left it in the car and forgot) but it's away now.
  10. To busy chasing them to take photos.
  11. What about a mention for the brolly provider at Laggan Locks?
  12. I took the picture on Wednesday morning at the last section at Gearadh.
  13. Trialscot No it wasn't me who marked the guy at the schoolboy national. I was in Africa at the time. I am very strict but fair and know the rules very well. A stop in my book is when the bike is no longer making forward progress. I wouldn't five anyone for having neither wheel rotating as long as the bike was making forward motion i.e. in the air. The Jarvis thing is intereting in that he clearly cleaned the section but got a five for some reason. Interestingly Colley got a single dab in the same section after going clearly outside the section markers (by a long way) and then stopping and hopping the bike round to get back in. It was as he landed back in the section that he got his dab. Although he continually bounced the bike round in about four hops he was moving but certainly not in a forward direction through the section. Here's another photo of Jarvis slightly further through the big step at the top of the said section.
  14. And long may it continue. Observers are the backbone of this sport it's good to see one sticking to his guns even when he knows it's a possible winner riding. Any BAMCC member will tell you I'd have excluded him and anyone within 50 yards. Btard that I am.
  15. Andy It was very entertaining actually. If he could have got a digger in there he would have. The funny thing is that all the others most of whom were just clubman had cleaned the line he used without any modifications. The observer didn't say anything but he was watching and shaking his head all the time so it wouldn't surprise me if he fived him for it. I can't remember off hand what the penalty is for changing a section but I think a 5 is getting of lightly.
  16. I watched Jarvis though the last section on Gearadh on Wednesday and though the result show him loosing a 5 allowing Pons to catch up a bit he rode the section clean. I was there with Boofont, Monty Python and Duck Wizard and we watched him spend a long time modifying the section by moving a coule of big rock, much to our amusment. Was it this rather than his ride that cost him the 5 do you think?
  17. I think that MXers are moving to the smaller capacity rule first and trials are just keeping up but I could be wrong.
  18. I'm not sure how he's getting on with it but he did thank you and credit you with the only help he got. It p*ssed down all day Tuesday and up 'til Wednesday Lunch time. In all the years I've been going over I've seldom seen folks so wet, muddy and unhappy at the end of a days trials as they were getting back to Parc Ferme on Tuesday evening. Some riders had to be taken back in a van at between 8 & 9pm after the police stopped them for not having lights. Many time based exclusions that night.
  19. WB I don't think there is a website for the trials schools but you can read the report on here DL school G2F who run the thing have a site at g2f.co.uk but nothing much aboutthe schools there or on dougielampkin.co.uk
  20. I've just returned from Fort William where Team Woftam are getting on fine in what is turning out to be a tough SSDT. Got a picture of Perce with his feet up though.
