I agree some of the parts are abit hard to come by but anything can be found if you look hard enough, clutch seem a bit better with different oil still a bit of slip but controlled with brake and doesn’t effect its awesome power.
really are a classic and all reviews say best of its time, and bullet proof reliability ?
Brilliant, I agree love the bike and at 23 yrs old, it’s a challenge
mine still creeps but can hold it back as it’s not too bad, going to try clutch cylinder next, had light oil 75w semi syn in it but changed it to 15-40w mineral and its slightly better and time will tell
i had water in oil but hopefully cured that with new seal.
there was a lot of oil sludge in rad but flushed it out and seams ok.
my rad fan was kaput, so took all apart and got a standard 5v usb fan from home bargains £2.99 then went on eBay and got a 12v to 5v reducer £3 modified it and wallop, works a treat, run for 2 hrs and fan kicks in a treat.
just need to sort my clutch out, going to try 0 to 30 fully synthetic, will let you know how it goes.
I might be off the mark here but I remember a TMX article about Martin Lampkin who was going for an SSDT win and had a rear puncture. Of course then the rears had tube's.
The news story said that Lampkin had the wheel off and back on with a new tube in 10 minutes flat, **** it usually took me at least 3/4's of an hour in my garage !

It's not an answer to the op's question but even a tubeless tyre will take a tube ............ when on the moor !!!!
A trials rider needs to be able to fit tyres or one day will be stranded with a puncture. Best to get the experience at home rather than on a moor somewhere in pouring rain - the dealer won't be there (well, he might, but you know what I mean).
Front on Rev 3 should be tubed with rear tubeless, There are many posts on here about getting the rim strip to seal if difficulty is encountered.
Front needs a tube rear should be Tubeless if it is the standard Morad rim .......you should not need leak spray stuff [best not to use it]if your rim is clean of corrosion and all dirt and has a rim sealing tape that is in excellent condition .....
Doing it at home is easy if you have the following tools ....A large G clamp or bead breaker ......2 x tyre leavers and nylon rim protectors a Tyre beader [Apico] to help seal while inflating and a Compressor with a decent pressure but you can do it with a foot pump or a CO2 cartridge and adaptor as long as you have the beader and use plenty of tyre lube/soap when building up.
Thank you

Can someone please tell me if the Beta rev3 wheels require an inner tube or tubeless and is it doable at home or best take to garage. Also would the leak spay stuff work.
I'm fairly new to all this carry on and am more of a motocross lad, but I recently bought a "beta rev 3 250 2000model" ... I'm struggling to find a "rear mudguard & graphics do any of you kind people know we're I can get them from? I'm currently speaking with a guy in France but he's not 100% he has one cause hes currently on holiday.... I'm wanting to change foot pegs, gear slector, and clutch & break leavers are these interchangeable with other years or not?
Have a look on Alliexpress I’ve doing up my 2002 Rev2 200 and have had a few bits and really cheap
The Silkoline 75w has a really bad viscosity index - which means it’s like really thick when cold , and water when hot. The plates have a hard time throwing that thick stuff off their surface. Here’s a trials central table of indeces.
It would appear that , on a budget - the Mobil Dextron 6 would be your best bet.
When I type in Mobil™ DEXRON-VI ATF I get Mobil ATF 320 is this it, sorry but not sure
Thanks for this, just seems that Beta haven’t sorted this out as it’s been going on for years, I thought a fix would have been done via a mod to the plates, but hey ho will try and thanks again
this I by far one of the best forums that I know of, and what’s brill we all have a common interest, - Bikes ??
