The brake shoes went in bin after took photos yesterday as they wear down to metal.The hub is bad this was a spare wheel the original is missing 2 spokes so need to get some.I bought some shoes awhile ago as one shoe is broken and need replacing.

Thankyou to all just did not look right to other wheels with those rims pointing up.Found akront stamped in rim hidden under dirt but nothing else

Hi don't see any marking the other wheels don't have the rims up turned and have dome in middle.Has Motorcross on tyre but that means nothing as tyres change.

Hi could anyone help what bike this is from. On rim Me 1947 and brake arm screw has Bultaco m80.There is a akront sticker but no writing on rim.

Hi Sir thanks got a couple of plastic tanks but wanted metal.Will be going out today so will see if can pick that filler up as need some black spray for the forks thankyou

Hi first thankyou for help I do appreciate it.Pictures of metal tanks is there a fluid I can buy to clean out tank and second need filler for side of tank a lot of dents and has been filled before.I have been watching YouTube to see if could pop dent out to original shape but scared of splitting tank.So looking for a good filler to do one side the other side is fine thankyou

Hi Sir for info am on the sick they say not fit for work not pension age yet but i do smoke 5 a day now with my coffee i do have a end day in a few weeks.I was bored to the point of insanity Its keeping me active as lost lots of muscle and am enjoying doing work call it therapy .Am doing forks at moment not ready for frames.I was curious what was under blue will strip frames when get to the them.Any spare money will be for parts as will no doubt need a few for the engines.Just wanted to know if white is a primer looks to good for one.My memory not to good now need to learn everything again.Trying to get into a class for 2 stroke engines as need the refresher course and its going to be embarrassing for me sitting with kids but to get all 3 Bultacos running well worth it Thankyou

Thanks for info this is the frame I was sanding other frame blue and silver underneath but this white.Is original colour blue then not white just want to put back to original looked up model chart and no pictures just 198b with bash plate colour white

Thankyou for info will look into buying black spray paint for forks when got last of paint off.The frame is white thoe but no Letter B at end the blue paint came of to easy like it was sprayed with cheap spray paint.No bash plate thoe tube with grill welded could it be a primer under blue thankyou

Hi took the bulk of the paint of forks someone painted over the black with a thick dark blue paint now down to metal with black streaks and a bit left of blue to rub of by hand.Is there a hard wearing black spray or paint i could buy cheap to put back to near original black.Went to halfords and staff member pointed out black hammer spray but it was around 10 quid.I have 5 small tins of metal normal and 5 hammer paint paid 10p a tin in sale a year ago but all silver pity cannot use them as have 3 sets of forks to paint. Also started sanding one of the 198 frames and original colour is white under the blue.So need to buy white spray or paint is there a name for the white so can get close as possible to original .I am learning a lot from manual and this website can only do a little work hear and there because of pain but enjoying it. Hi to section sweep forgot the bikes are complete but in bits 2+ 250 198 + 199A 350 and spares Bultaco engines with no frames. Trying to buy a 159 350 to put on road when move to wales.

Hi Sir for info Took a engine casing into car shop to see if could remove black heat paint off.He opened a few tins of different stripper not one worked.When back home looked up found this website and read comments.Learned a lot that over the year and half and finally decided to join but still learning as forgot a lot over time.Some comes back have so many questions but would not like to hog web page

Hi sir thanks for info decided to go with the hardest sandpaper for frames.The tank will ask garage today if can not will use plastic ones i have.Only doing this as my very youngest wants a bike for road.Never ridden in his life.Believe he would be a danger to himself and others.So he must learn like i did and Bultaco are the best bikes to no other in my opinion.

Thankyou sir for your knowledge will ask one of my lads to put some pictures up off bikes.I was going to ask my local garage if he could take a look if he can not. Have a few plastic tanks to fall back on.The fiberglass is for the 199a just finished last coat on frame.

Thanks about telling me about putty heard it is used to fill holes in exhaust thought it might be cheaper than a weld but saying that have not even looked into how much it will cost for the tank mended

Hi trying to do it the cheapest way.If engine and rest was mint would think going down different route but wear talking couple of hundred quid bikes.should have just sprayed and built.Thanks

Thanks for reply.The old stripper use to burn if got any on skin and shop assistant told me not as strong now.So was thinking off buying heat gun as got 2 frames which need doing.The blue paint is thick with lots off chips down to metal.And thought i could just burn it off and save money not buying tins of stripper

Hi is it the heat gun (no cap on) or paint stripper as been told its not as strong as it was in my youth.Tried sanding as was going to leave paint as a primer but still rough with lots of paint pit holes in.There is 3 inch hairline crack runing along bottom length ways which need to be fixed.Heard that a putty resin has been invented to repair metal instead of welding so will look into that soon .Thanks

Tell me about it.Just had a 250 198 deliverd today in pieces and the bloke gave me a alloy tank with it.Has a 3 inch wide thin crack running long side at bottom length ways.

Sorry does seem a bit overtop just health getting me down physically and mentally having a bad day with pain anyway will post pictures when done tank then start on other tanks.

Is ford sunburst red the factory original red what is on the 191 or the torch red i dont want close to it but spot on with colour .Thanks for help
