  1. I've seen some posts in my time...but that is an absolute belter mate...round of applause for scott...
  2. try www.carolnash.com click on the off road section
  3. its brewed in lancashire and now owned by whitbreads which is a bad enough start for anyone just a shame we couldn't get it further away than texas.....it really is p***
  4. I swapped my 280 gasser for a 07 Sherco 250 on saturday Did my first trial on it on monday and came second in my class I like it !! Out of interest..anyone got any views on some decent mods or frame protection bits, i see the tick bits stuff isn't rated by some
  5. Hello ratty Darwen mcc have a good begginers set (i know..i'm one) and Bolton do some 'easy ' trials too. Lancscounty have some fantastic venue's around the kirby lonsdale are but seldom do any begginers stuff. keep surfing t'internet and TMX. If youre not sure if its easy or not ring the secretary, as there's always a contact number with the regs. start on the easy stuff and work youre way up, i've see people try a venue that was beyond them and get put off so start low ..aim high ! also..in yorkshire there's no such thing as easy.....there's 'not as hard'...but never easy !!!
  6. EXACTLY! Good point well made. Addingham today, your favourite venue tomorrow. Even if you've never been to Addingham, please sign it. You are not just petitioning to save this one venue, but are standing up for Trials as a whole and all the practice grounds all over the UK. If the Trials community can stand up and come forward en masse then maybe others will think twice before randomly shutting down established practice areas and thus encouraging illegal practice. I've signed up for this reason...I've not been to addingham as i use back cowm but am outraged at how the farmer has been treated and this petition has my support 100% It wasn't so long ago that people thought fox hunting was never going to be banned and that had some high level supporters in government At this rate the only thing left to ban in the countryside will be farming! sign up folks...tommorrow may be too late
  7. I'm technically challenged so as little as possible!
  8. I've blagged a go on a gasser recently which was good but anyone tried an 07 sherco 250? I don't know anyone who'got one currently! keep it coming folks
  9. I'm thinking of changing my bike in the not too distant future and have narrowed it down to the 07 250 gasser or the 07 250 sherco. I wondered if any one had any advice. I'm 40 year old rider and not very good or likely to be any good so i just want something thats easy to ride but light and responsive any comments folks?
  10. Does no one in sheffield use the bloody internet since i moved away ?!!!!
  11. Can someone give me directions to lumbush for the jack wood trial please? from Low bradfield would be best ta
  12. Well he says when malcolm rathwell has asked them over previous years they were almost embarrassed to say...his words not mine bud so..is that good this year?
  13. I read woodys report about the new 250 sherco last week and was suprised at how impressed he was. I've read articles of his before and he's not usually that revved up. Seems like the sherco has gone from the runt of the litter to one to consider...has anyone else tried the07 250 sherco and would they agree with the report as it ends with "its simply one of the best trial bikes ever" which is quite an endorsement
  14. They tatooed you in hospital?!!...cheeky sods the NHS !!
  15. thats reet good ! does this mean that TC may finally get a mention in tmx or is that a bridge too far?
  16. Rudge ulster..good call 'bout 4 years ago I had an aprillia RSV-R colin edwards replica with twin akrapovic exhausts...goergeous piece of kit it was...... sadly long gone I remember being impressed by the TLR's when i was a lad and for a road bike i would have willingly sold a kidney to have the old ZXR 750 in green/blue and white stripes on my drive.... these days i think the black framed gassers and the new beta's are smart looking bikes
  17. I would agree with the majority of the sentiments already stated. I'm a newbie from last august time and found this site very helpful. Someone pointed me in the right direction for the best club and venues from here (cheers brian !! ) and any questions ive asked have got a reply so i can't fault it from that perspective. I would agree with some of the previous posters about the issue of replying...there's a lot of stuff on here i know nowt about so i cant really give an opinion Its a well run site with an extremely low prat count....so keep up the good work
  18. True mate...an undeniable talent when he's on form but his attitude has always tripped him up career wise
  19. I thought he looked unstoppable and really at ease with the 4rt last night ...and wasn't it good to see some trials on tele again?!!
  20. that sounds painful...I believe there are cushions available to relieve the pressure with that sort of thing
