    Ossa Return

Well Wayne today we had a trial near Madrid and everibody was talking about it. It looks somebody bought the remains of the company and will bring it to life again starting in a "new" classic replica. I am shure we will have "official" news soon.

    Ossa Return

Hi all: It looks Ossa returns to trials. The news are they are going to produce a replica of the 1970 Ossa MAR and are thinking in some new projects.... maybe a modern Ossa trials bike??? Who knows!
  6. Try to check the contact between the coil and the frame. No paint or rust between the frame and coil where they do the contact.
  7. Yes behave.... I think this year the new Pre-82 category in green and the Pre-65 category in yellow will help to see more special bikes, also some of those British Pre-65 that very few people use here. Hope this year at last we can have a sunny Robregordo edition.
  8. Thanks Hewson for those pics. Now I have a strange feeling, I am so sad I stayed in Madrid for the trial last 25th. and did not went to Telford. But in the other hand (and knowing myself) I am so happy as for shure I would had buy one of those beauties (or maybe two????).
  9. Yes Woody, I agree, straight to the modified class
  10. Hi Gary: I have been also looking for a good 400x19 tyre for my Matchless and it is science fiction. Forget it. I an going to rebuild it to 400x18.
  11. I agree with you Big John, as a little example, among the 15 Spaniards coming this year, 7 (47%) are newcomers 2 (13%) did not come in some years 6 (40%) repeat. I don

  13. I agree with you Tony.
  14. Hi Wayne; Jose Luis (Puma Racing) builds tuned and also original looking bikes. Belive me they are so good. Everything works perfectly and you are shure you will have a perfect bike for a long time if you mantain it properly. He takes a long time to do the bikes (arround 2 months) althought he builds 2 to 4 bikes at a time. He is also a very good pilot with more than 45 years experience, quite tough to beat him.
  15. Hi Wayne: I am afraid there is no website for "Puma Racing", he is just a former Bultaco and Montesa mechanic that builds bikes in a little corner he has near Barcelona. He is the best by far preparing this bikes. Maybe in todotrial you can see more bikes done by him in the clasic trials page.
  16. Hi: Can somebody explain me the diferences between a James and a FB frame?? Both bikes used Villiers engines for their trials preparations but I have now 3

  19. You can read in this link: "Once upon a time, dirt bikes had power and grace....." More about El Escorial 1970 http://www.mensvogue.com/design/videos/200...1/bultaco_video I was there 9 years old, bikes passed just outside my parents home....
  20. Depending on your age, but for an average classic pilot of around 45 years old, the licence is 300 euros per year. Then for a single day trial 50 euros, for a good 2 days 120 euros, a starting permit (repatriation insurrance to race abroad) 68 euros....... We pay more than the cost of a good bike every year in fees. Add all the bourocracy we in the motoclubs need to sort in such places as Town Halls, Ministry of Africulture, General Direction of Enviroment, Federation, Police....... (each one with their own taxes) Then add all the work, marking of the trial, time looking for observers (pay them) etc. etc. etc. And the result is that classic trials in Spain are alive because we pilots and must be idiots, although we still enjoy with it. It is one of the reasons we like so much going out to France to race, not so far away, very good classic trials, good food, good wine, good people and cheap.
  21. I agree it is expensive, but unfortunately it is impossible to cover all the costs here with less. That is why we look for sponsors to have extras as drinks, tshirts, paella or similar. At the moment Federation fees, insurrance, ambulance, doctor (even 2 depending in the length), Ministry of Agriculture taxes, etc. etc. etc. makes trials expensive, and really our Federation does not help, specially with classic trials as here the federation belive it is not a proper sport. We have a hughe argue in Spain about this actually, and maybe for 2009 no classic trials in Madrid because of this.
  22. Hi Frenchie: As a part of Sotobike Motoclub I know the hard work that means to arrange for a trial, specially if you try to make a good quality event. You could have a lot of Spaniards there if: 1) You made it a 2 day trial. 2) The date do not coincide with the Spanish Classic Champ., Catalu
