  1. Hi: Back at last, I can now log in again
  2. Without testing the bike is not easy to say, but sounds the carburation maybe wrong. Maybe even you have some dirt in the petrol valve or in the carb and it does not flow properly. What carb are you using??
  3. I have a Fantic Coach and was looking in Talon Sprockets for a front 10 teeth and rear 41 teeth sprockets of this bike. Anibody knows if Fantic 301 sprockets or any other model fits in the Coach??
  4. The Scottish Pre-65 trial is the best classic trial you can race. It is a dream come true racing there. But if you want to use a twinshock in the best twinshock trial; you have to come to Madrid in May....
  5. Thank you all for your kind words. To settle a trial as Robregordo take a big effort for many people, the work has ended just yesterday, 10 days after the trial. Just for you to make a clear idea about Robregordo just think there where 76 persons working full time on the weekend to make it run. Speciall thanks to Miguel Sanchez-Monje, Txiri, Manuel Torralbo, Manuel Casado and Juan Carlos Quijano, as without them, this event would be impossible to prepare. Your words really help, as sometimes, specially after all the hard work you come to ask yourself if it does really worth all that time and effort. The main ideas preparing this "time machine" is to bring us back to a World Championship trials in the 70
  6. It is known that things does not last for ever, and my rol in Sotobike club in charge of the foreign pilots has come to an end in this 2008 edition. Of course I will be doing some other things in the club and in the race, but for the next editions there will be a new public relations, speaking better English than mine. The first meeting after the race has brought new ideas that we will slowly develop. The first idea is to prepare the race for 23 & 24 May, good options for British pilots as Monday 25 will be a Bank Holliday in the UK. Also Foreign pilots will be allowed to arrange for their entry any time they want and also will be allowed to pay the entry in the race, not in advance. There will be a special email from the motoclub where to contact in English, this email will be published soon in our webb, different forums etc.
  7. Jim is still in the hospital in Madrid, but improving very quickly. Now he can stand up on his own and even walk. Next Sunday he will fly to London escorted by a nice nurse....... John returned home ok. Lost bike was found by Txiri yesterday thursday.
  8. All ready for Robregordo 2008, it is raining a lot this days althought for the next week it looks things will improve. The mountains are very green and in the rivers plenty of water, so be prepared for 20 long sections and 25 km. route aech day, some tough parts in the route. 200 entries and some big names as Bernie Schreiber, Manuel Soler, Mick Andrews, Andreu Codina, Miguel Cirera, Alfredo Gomez, Neil Gaunt, Carlos Casas..... and some very special bikes. The entry list is in the motoclub page: http://www.motoclubsotobike.com/web08/html...inscritos08.pdf
  9. Mick Andrews could not come to Scotland because of a severe tendinitis in his right arm. Maybe he will even need some surgery. Hope he recovers soon!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Just arrived from Scotland. Great event. First day was a hard route, specially for those that made the Blackwaters route after the big shower. I got lost with my friend Carlos Bosch inside the moor somewhere between Aite Tamh and Coire Na Cruaide and lost 31 points on time, we had a nice moment in the middle of nowhere inside a blackwater pulling the bikes out and closely observed by 4 red deers. At last I made it, I managed to do Sleubaich!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a clean, but aniway with that little bike I am quite happy. Some very "dangerous" observers and followers in Upper Mamore coming from the Poacher

    Fantic Coach

Hi Lee: Thank you for your help. I have just PM you my email. The bike is already in my garage. It is a very good bike, powerfull engine and very easy to ride. Here in Spain there are not aircooled monoshock specific trials, but there is a category in Cabrianes classic 2 days, and I can use it also in the easy category of the modern bikes trials. When I was testing the bike, there was another man, waiting for me to finish and saying the seller:-"If he does not want the bike, I want it. In fact I can pay you some more for it....."-: Late. Thaks god I had 700 euros in my pocket

This past Eastern I was lucky to ride in Scotland with BJ
  15. I will. This next Sunday we have the second round of the classic champ. in Jaen (Andalucia) and will tell some friends about your bike, that are desperate searching for it. Let you know soon.
  16. If it is the "big drums" Mk1 and you want to sell it, I know at least 12 persons looking for one of those bikes...... some of them even searching in the US to buy one and bring it to Spain.
  17. After 2 years of crazy prices here in Spain, they are now coming down. Quite quickly in fact. Of course some of them, not all. Speciall bikes will allways be expensive, the more special, rare, original the more expensive (Bultacos model 10 and 27, Yamaha Majesty, Hondas RTL, Montesa Cota Mk1 and Mk2....) there will allways be some models difficult to find and consequently expensive. Hondas TLR are hundreds in the European market, and the really crazy prizes we have seen in Spain for a 250TLR (not less than 7,000 euros) or for a 200TLR (not less than 3,000 euros)are now fortunately a joke. Nobody will pay that money any more for those bikes, so obviously prices are coming down. Same happens with Fantics 240, here in Spain just one year ago you could not find one for less than 4,000 euros, and there where quite a number in the market for sale. I agree with BJ; there are very few original Pre-65 bikes racing and Twinshock is the future. Just with more control in the Pre-72, Pre-77, or whatever Pre-categories is something easy to verify before a trial, and free in the Post-77 Twinshock (DellOrtos, Mikunis, Keihins....
  18. Oh yes; sorry about my mistake, it is a model 80 with the alloy tank, 1977 still to early for the 199A to be "in action". The thing is watching those photos I started to think about the bikes and trials I rode back then here in Spain, and suddently realised 1977 is 31 years away when I was using a 348 that I could only start with a big effort, and the year I changed from Montesa to Bultaco to ryde the brand new 199. Long time ago, lots of trials, and inside myself I still feel I could still race as if I was only 16. Definitely those where the best times in trials, maybe that
  19. Fantastic photos. Specially that one about BJ and his 199A "in action" on that beautifull section. John: 1977 was 31 years ago. My god!!!!!, we need to ride as much trials as we can in the time we still have ahead......
  20. bilc0 will bring his own bike to Robregordo 2008.........but I have already promised him a drive to test the Puma Racing
