  1. Hi: Just thank the IDMCC for the fantastic 2011 edition of the Highland Classic. Special thanks to the Moffat family and Paul Edwards for their generosity with me. Also to all the Scottish friends for being so wellcoming. Even the weather was good to me and enjoyed another Spanish weather weekend in Scotland. Will be back next year for the 2012 edition.
  2. Hi Max: I have just sent you a PM with some places where you can find the mudguards, both in the UK and in Spain. If you are going to use the bike I advice you to move the rear mudguard slightly rear or your back will end full of mud and wet, and also cover the front gap between the mudguard and swing arm to avoid mud and water coming front to the carburettor etc. Just have a look to these pics to see the difference and also you can see what I put to close that gap:
  3. Hi max: That is a very nice work done in that bike. I have a 150 model exactly like yours, it is a great bike. I enjoy much those 250cc. Bultaco engines, very soft and easy to ryde. Congratulations for the work. Some pics of my model 150.
  4. Hi Esteve: Thanks for the photos !!!! Really nice ones there.
  5. Hi keychange: I know what you are talking about. I own a 1971 Cota 247 MkIII, and use it frecuently in Spanish classic trials. The engine has never been opened (cranckcase) in it
  6. Thanks for the videos !!! Nice clean Ross !!!!
  7. Hi Mick Annick: Yes, you need a start permit from the ACU !!!!!! You can enter through this webb: www.motoclubsotobike.com only 200 entries and no ballot, strictly per entry date. No need for transfer, foreign riders can pay at start. Send me PM if you want to book the hotel next to the paddock, reserved for pilots coming for far away and organisers, still a couple of rooms available.
  8. Hi, and thanks all for the nice words about Robregordo. The big problem Metisse is if you have an accident and need repatriation to your country. This involves very expensive transfers, hospitals; air tickets (if not a medical charter); nurse or even doctor escort etc. etc. it happened some time ago in the Scottish pre65 and also happened in Robregordo and that
  9. Hi Metisse: ACU and SACU licences are wellcone here in Spain as they are FIM as the Spanish RFME. For Robregordo trial you just need your licence and a STARTING PERMIT from ACU as an extra insurrance for repatriation if unfortunately you need it. It
  10. Yes Big John, we allways in Spain talk about how lucky you are in the UK with ACU and SACU. Just have a look to what they charge us here: Spanish licences: http://www.rfme.net/web/esp/plantilla2.asp?Id=705 Click "Descargar" For me: 343 Euros for Senior licence + 88 Starting Permit Scotland + 88 S.P. Highland Classic + 88 S.P. Manxx + 88 S.P. Mt. Ventoux = 695 euros licence 2011. I could buy a Bultaco in the UK for that money.
  11. Thanks Ross, there are some similar colours in the RAL and would like to know exactly which one is it. See you in Kinlochleven!!!
  12. Hi: Somebody knows RAL or code for this Triumph
  13. Jim just contact me by mail or PM here in Trials Central. No problem for entries or accomodation we have a number reserved for foreign pilots.
  14. More than 28 minutes of the best 1981 trial. Enjoy.
  15. Modern bike try Santigosa 3 days in Easter. Maybe the best trial in the calendar with the SSDT. The place is the "trials Disneyland" of the Pyrenees.
  16. Hi bob: I know a 100% Puma is going to the UK next week. I know that bike and the new owner is going to be very happy with it.
  17. Yes, it is that Rock God, in fact in Robregordo 2010 edition he performed his Rock Show and 2011 if he returns we will also prepare things for him for anothe rock Show. You are all most wellcome.
  18. Are you waiting for a Puma Bultaco next week ????
  19. Hi majdaz: No restrictions, but he/she must have a valid ACU/SACU licence and the starting permit (international insurrance) issued by ACU/SACU. But as it is FIM, check with ACU he/she can have that starting permit. The dates for 2011 are 28 & 29 May (as the weekend before there are elections here in Spain).
  20. Watch this video and now you will understand why: http://www.elrellano.com/videos_online/4289/ciclomotor-a-140kmh.html
  21. Hi all: It is true you can see a few number of bikes here in Spain that have gone a step too far in the preparation. Although they are not legal attending to our rules. Our rules are simple, classic trials bikes are those that use drum brakes, air cooled and a pair of shocks, and you can not use any part of a bike that comes from a more modern machine than the one you are using (with the exception of handlebars, footrests and some other small stuff). This means it is not legal for example to use a Montesa
  22. Hi: 40:1 is a 2,5%, I think it is too much oil for this bike using a modern sinthetic oil. In my 198 Sherpa I normally use 60:1 (1,5%) or sometimes 50:1 (2%) when I am riding in a very hot day. Hope this helps
