Fantastic I have enjoyed it very much. Thanks to the SSDT for making our sport something BIG
  2. Hi all; I really enjoy reading this kind of posts in the forum. It is very interesting for me to see other pilots opinions about the modifications in the Bultaco bikes, specially coming from people that know very well what they are doing as Mr. Big John (and others of course). In my opinion a standard well tuned Bultaco of any of the 198 & 199

  4. ""Hot News"" Provisional results from the IDMCC Highland Classic Two Day Trial: I Must say this trial is one of my favourites and most enjoyable events in the classic trials calendar. I find it simply fantastic !!!! Many thanks to all organicers, and all the pilots coming from Catalu
  5. Yes Martin; I know about that. In 2006 the bike was on display at the Cabrianes 2 days classic trial in Barcelona. Mick Andrews could not belive the old bike was there again completely new when he took away the fabric that was hiding it. It was nice to see his face then. There are some other jewls in this video; 1970 USA, guess some of this bikes are still hiding somewhere there. That 247 MK1......
  6. Have a look to this video 1970; Mick Andrews with the new and revolutionary Ossa: http://vimeo.com/3063737 By the way... in my opinion Mick Andrews is the best trials rider ever.

  12. Hi: This is me in Eyjafjallajkull, the glacier and volcano that is causing so much trouble in Europe. (I know how to write it, but not how to pronounce it). The scenario is the next: Travelling from Spain to the UK is nowadays impossible for the next few days. The only way to go is to travel up to France by car and cross the channel there by ferry. Ferrys from Spain to the UK are fully booked untill 2nd May. Buying an Eurotunnel ticket or a train ticket to Paris is science fiction. I have been lucky enough to share the cabin of who is driving some of the Spanish bikes up to Kinlochleven next Sunday 25th, 5 hours up to Bilbao, 28 hours ferry and 10 hours up tp Kinlochleven.... but I don
  13. I have used and test in different trials the three kind of shoks Magicals/RockShocks/Falcons and honestly at this point of quality I think it is a matter of personal preference. Still have Magicals in some bikes (will not throw them away while they work), but my personal preference goes clearly to the RockShocks, maybe as they are the ones that better adapt to the way I drive, and balance a good cost/quality + easy to tune up + easy & cheap to repair. Can also add that Magicals are maybe the best for tough sections with big steps etc. (in the other hand the reparation of one Magical shock that was leaking oil cost me 150 euros recently), while the RockShocks are the perfect "weapon" for river beds with rocks (Scottish pre65 kind of sections I mean). Of course just a personal opinion.
  14. Blue (very tough route): Experts Green: Divided into Pre80 and Twinshock (Post 80 bikes) Yellow (easy): Divided into Pre72 and Clasicos (post 72 bikes) Pre bikes with prweparations go to Twinshock or Clasicos. Concentric carburetters only admited in the national and regional champs.

  16. Bike is finished and works very good !!!!
  17. I think Paul, it all depends in how you drive and your trial level. We very frecuently forget how good and efective a series bike (properly tuned of course) is for an average trials rider. Any old 199 just with a pair of good shocks can do almost anything in the proper hands. Last year in Mallorca
  18. Forks are original Betor modified, DellOrto PHBH elegible for Spanish classics trials. I really like them. More than a Puma?? I do, don
  19. Thanks all for the help. Thank Talyd, I think you are correct, that was an acurrate reply. Yes I was thinking in a British bike. Tose are nice sliders and after Talyd
