  1. The manual says "If you want to store the battery pack, you have to take some measures..." Before storage, the battery pack must be charged; Be sure 100% the battery pack is switched off; Recharge the battery pack every 4 week, even it is not used; Do not store the battery pack under 10°C (50F) or over 40°C (104F); Do not store the battery pack in wet atmosphere; Do not store the battery pack exposed to the sun; Remove the battery pack if necessary. note the "if" - I wonder if that is mandatory, highly recommended, or truly optional. Does anyone leave their bike over the winter in the garage, below 50F, without storing the battery?
  2. thanks! I'm working on basics right now and not changing anything (other than leaning bars forward) until I have a clue about how to ride. I'll put this on my to-do list though!
  3. Is there enough slack in the wiring to install taller handlebars? I'm 6'5" (195cm) and an old guy. My back hates being bent over too far and also I have more pressure on the bars than I'd like--I can't get into a relaxed position.
  4. I just bought a lightly used 2016 EM Sport 5.7. I have very little trials experience; had a Cota 349 sidecar for a while. I had a hard time getting passengers (they kept running away screaming). So I took off the hack and rode it solo a bit. Did a few vintage events and got hooked but never really liked the bike. Life got in the way and I sold the rig. I'm about to retire and this became available just as I thinned the herd (sold an FZ-09). So far I love the convenience and simplicity of electric. I'm looking forward to riding an event next year.
  5. something weird happened when I registered and my email ended up as my display name - anyone know how to change that? andway - old retired guy wanting to try something new. Just got a used EM Sport.
