There is a story behind that flash of wallet inner lining!
Our lad, David (or 'Feet-up Dave' as he is now called by the Huddersfield Clan), got round a very wet Scottish Six Days Trial. His Mum (Wee Jean) and I agreed that if he did the business and got round, finished, then he was entitled to a bonus! A bonus may I say I didn't get when I managed a very wet SSDT in 1977...
I was invited on to the finish podium by 'Arch' & 'Mose' for comments on the week, just as David arrived and so I surprised him, by announcing that he had earned a bonus for his ride at the Scottish, he could choose any new bike of his choice from dealer Highland Leisure Sport.
What did he do? He chose a new Montesa 4RT, dearest sodding bike on the planet, but a great bike for the SSDT!!!
What can I say?
BJ Wallet will be a bit lighter for a while methinks!!!

You know Charlie, I've been thinking about that for a few years, how long would it be before someone produced a "false face MK1 Concentric" to wrap around a modern carb!
Hmmmm... you never know.

PS: Heard a rumour that the top three placed bikes are to be impounded for two hours after the event!

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I guess Fort William must be quite a wet place, so it looks like I will have to pack some wet weather gear for my trip there!

I would have said at that temperature the fan should have come on by then.
When you say drips a little oil is it blue? If so it could be anti-freeze as there is a breather from the coolant cap down to just under the front exhaust pipe and that would put out expanded coolant as these bikes unlike cars don't have an expansion tank. Some people mistake this for oil as the coolant has an 'oily' feel to it, but its bright blue in colour.
I would get it checked by your supplying dealer assuming its a brand new bike.

My first Sherco (2000 model) was supplied with a digit missing from the VIN, I had to have the Police inspect it and they used a numeral die to stamp the missing digit on the frame so it corresponded with the V5C!

Oh yes, they were very common in the 1960's, everyone had them....not!

Big John...uses and recommends... 'Belgom Alu'.
I used to use Solvol Autosol, but mainly use it on chrome brightwork now.
Belgom Alu gives a very good finish!
