  1. Hi Swoosh, I think it is not a bad thing, someone might just stumble upon the TC page and decide to sign in here. Can't do any harm! The TC page on facebook is merely an appreciation of the Trials Central site! Same thing goes for the Bultaco and Montesa Cota pages, more awareness. Big John
  2. There is also a Bultaco page, thanks to Swooshdave! Just click on the link next line down, see you there! http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=5469154239 Big John
  3. In tandem with my learned friend Mr. Slapshot, I don't agree with all you write, but as it is your opinion, I too respect that and we may continue to differ. What I was humourously pointing out was that this discussion may indeed fall on deaf ears, not because of any desire not to listen, but the fact that many of the Pre65 and indeed the SSDT committee (save a few) do not have computers to view this website! The '....er...' was not intended to be 'female' but merely a humourous expression used fairly commonly in conversations similar to the smiley: meaning 'unsure' As to Woody's comments, the club have been criticised previously for allowing riders under 40 to compete and of course it is a requirement that the sport needs some young blood to ensure that Pre65 continues for some time to come, don't we? My own thought is this: why did the Pre65 movement leave the genuine bikes behind? Presumably the competitive streak that insists that we all must ride machines built on 31st December 1964 and then put Betor/Marzocchi/Ceriani internals into forks and so on and so on. It would have been much simpler just to have some fun on old bikes that had been dragged out of retirement wouldn't it? That's at the expense of being an old fuddy-duddy or purist (a la Deryk Wylde!) Whereas now we have bikes costing three times the price of a brand new Gasser. Maybe we should copy the Americans in that the winning bike is up for sale at a maximum of say

I know B40RT quite well actually and I was having a bit of fun with my demand that he shout shut up and join! It's really up to the individual if they want to join a social network such as facebook, sure I was a bit apprehensive in joining it, I got an invite from a friend down in Newcastle, I didn't join at that time, but as there are a couple of my former work colleagues, friends from school on there, (and some friends from trials) I joined late last year when I had a wee bit more time on my hands! 9. "The Secretary has already had a few disgruntled riders airing their views but it is not possible to make 339 go into 180 spaces and not have 159 riders disappointed on this occasion. Please remember that this is a Trial for Pre

  16. I think you will find there are quite a number of newcomers in that list, plus a load who have not got in for a few years as well. If you don't try, you definately wont get in. Big John
  17. We always apply a smear of 'Copperease' 'Coppaslip' or anti-seize paste. Don't go mad with it though, just a light smear on the back of the pad and ensuer you don't let it get on the braking surface of the pad! Big John
  18. I have a 2007 & 2008 Beta Rev4T manual on pdf, but it's 4.32MB. I downloaded it from the Beta website, so try it first, however it doesn't seem to be working at the moment when I tried it tonight. Happy to try sending it to you by e-mail if you have broadband! PM me! Big John
  19. I agree Ross, and after all, there were (probably) a dozen or more Scots that did not get an entry! Big John
  20. Do you mean 'English' Ross?????????? Big John
  21. Great idea, I was waiting patiently for a 2008 Beta Rev4T manual then discovered they were available on-line but not (at that time) on the Beta UK website but the main Beta Italy one. A list of links would be an excellent idea! Big John
  22. Quite rightly so, makes sence not to advertise the numbers at the moment, as is normal entrants drop out between now and May, so the organisers can allocate those vacated numbers to entrants on the reserve list. Consequently the entry list that appears in the programme is then as correct as it can be. Big John
