Anything would be better than a trials tyre Pete, clogs within 2 yards and your off, front is the worst
-
Can't you glue it to the plastic?
-
You ****ker Gizza no doubt this stems from my text to Gizza this morning whilst taking a dump in the nearby woods, (had this urge to text him about it) Hot chilli last night so needed the loo with short notice, walks in there and froze solid so quick jump over the fence for the deed. The phrase "snapping one off" was quite appropriate

No not an advert, had my first 4rt bike problem yesterday at the Vic when it kept cutting out for no reason? got back to the van though thank fully. Had a look today as my first thought was a blown plug. Changed it along with fresh fuel and air filter and as usual she fired up first kick, let it run untill the fan kicks in but it died again after about 5-6 mins. Realised it died because the fan was stuck, looks like the bike shuts itself down(hopefully) instead of mashing the fan or boiling the motor. Rang Gizza earlier to ask if his fan span freely as mine was'nt so just posted this as we thought it was quite clever.
Bike all sorted now though and running as normal, but re-aligning the fan was a little fiddly as the rad had to come out, pretty sure it took a knock from a stick/branch when I layed it down to walk a section

This is actually the very first thing that has ever gone wrong with Gert since I've owned her. Expect shes done 2000 hours ish of riding, Scott Trial and SSDT and this is the first problem, although saying that it was probably a stick that did the damage yesterday bending the fan out of true and stopping it from turning. The clever bit seems to be that, instead of boiling her up, Gerts shut herself down as soon as the fan should have cut in. Fidly fix, but alls well now for another few years.

I did a new Mich for a mate Tuesday that had been in his shed for ages, beads of tyre were touching all the way round and the temp of the tyre was cold. The tyre beader makes putting a tubeless on a piece of p***, can't beleive people don't buy them who have to do the job its so worth the money and hassle.
Get the tyre back on the wheel
Lay it on the floor
Take the valve out
Use tyre soap over the beader and some on tyre walls both sides
Inflate untill the beader pops out
Keep inflating untill you hear a double pop (can be up to 80 lbs ish)
Stick valve back in whilst tyre is deflating
Pump up to 50-60 lbs and leave over night to let the soap dry
Job done and you still have hair and mental integrity, why struggle like **** trying to do it the old way when theres something on the market that makes things easy? I'm off in the shed in abit to turn the IRC, be done in 15 mins
