  1. First try with an IRC today at the Pickling Yards, not the best place to judge as the venue is quite grippy even when wet, tyre gripped very very well all day, every section, but have a feeling so would a new Mich. Did notice the rear wheel landings onto loose/slippy stuff it did,nt wash out and the real muddy bog section it gripped perfectly even though those are my worst type of sections. Will see what its like at Stockenchurch next weekend, should be some slippy going there in places. Good thing as well I noticed from the off, the tyre didnt need to be broke in at all, griped from new right from the off even with the walls still hard. Thanks to Aldermarston Nomads for a great trial, well set out and a nice run round the woods.
  2. Been using tyre beaders for quite a while now, always used the white ones but they soon seem to tear and break especially if they pinch up and pulling them out of the rim to hard. Found this one on Ebay Beader This is quite a bit tougher than the white ones and I,ve used mine about 5 times now and still no sign of a tear of wear from it. I learned that if you apply soap to the beader only, not the tyre and pump the tyre up this beader will just pop itself out all on its own, no pinching and has worked every time, well worth 20 quid if you turn or change tyres often I,m not 100% sure but this maybe an upgrade of the white ones sold in the past years, if it is then they have done a great job with it
  3. Ralph Varden? forgot about that one mate, should be able to make that so bring them then
  4. Mine will be winging its way over to you soon Pete if you don't mind
  5. IRC turned up today, big thanks to Scott at BVM for sorting it out so quickly about to fit it and hope i get some sort of grip tomoz
  6. When Roman Polanski was put into prison he shared a cell with Big Jermarle, a 6 foot 8inch homosexual west african drug dealer. Big Jermarle says to Roman on the first day, "we're both in here for a long time, I like to while away the months playing little games with my cell mates."" My favourite game is Mamma's and Pappa's, as its your first day Roman I'll let you choose who you want to be today". Quick as a flash Roman says "errr I think I'll definatley be Pappa if you don't mind Jermarle" "No problem he says" " now come over here and suck Mamma's great big black c*** "
  7. Licence runs from Jan to Jan mate, you do need to join a club first so they can stamp and sign the ACU form. If you cant get to meeting before the New Year give a local club a call and ask if you can post the form to them with your memebership and they will post onto the ACU for you. Club fees for the year do very but usually about a tenner, never been asked for a licence for practice anywhere though so I'd say you wont need one. Trials on Boxing day,New Years day, prob more on over the winter than any other time so plenty about. Never quite seen the point of having to join a club first though? just makes the getting a licence a whole lot more tricky and hassle Good luck Just
  8. Bloody Hell, at this rate it'll pass the Kenny the Rooster stats by Saturday
  9. Was just taking a dump when I noticed one of Mrs Addicts mags ( Nat Enquirer B*****ks)in the loo, had a quick flick through to see if there were any breasts and that and came across an article about Mr Polanski, seems he is on suicide watch and they are worried about him "Bless" good luck to you fella, give him a belt or some shoe laces
  10. I quite like the look of that lets hope it runs as well as it looks, well done Sherco, very brave
  11. No buyer posts yet John? at least you'll be unique looks quite good in the pic to be honest
  12. They look like Titanium Pete, but different to Raptors unless they're the new ones
  13. Nice post Dave I was very impressed with Evo, felt very easy to ride and very light compared to the 4rt but there again a Gixxer thou would as well, as you said carburation was spot on with the three I rode, unlike many Rev 3's in the past. Something very very special will have to come along though to part me with Gerty!!
  14. Did,nt get to try thr X-Lite in the mud, bought it the summer and its only recently got wet, its shagged out now though so not likely to give it a go. Would I buy one again? no, not worth the extra money, good tyre but at my level an X11 will do, the slow leak got my tits abit as well although it didnt seem to go down whilst riding. Had a dunlop once and found that as grippy in the streams as a wornish X11 but very good in wet muddy stuff, the X11 seems to be a good all rounder will the others specialising in something but not all rounders.
  15. Rather chuck money at tyres for grip in the winter as I,m hopeless in the wet so ordering today The Dishes? hmmm 4rt rider at weekend? getting up everything? do you know what pressures he was using? wished I had come and watched the display now mate and learned somethiing. Haha Rob, he could get grip in the wet with anything on the back and any tyre pressure, how does he do it? I see you said last time you bought a new tyre was a Dunlop? wasn't that for the 1973 Harold Avery Trial? riding the Ossa? Thanks for the tips lads
  16. Thanks Bob, looks like the IRC is the tyre I need for the next few months then, if they make any difference to my appauling wet condition riding it will truely be the best tyre of the lot for mud, yes I like the X11 in the dry and rocks although the X-Lite was as good if not slightly better.
  17. There is a rumour a well known TC user had a spanker new IRC on for the John Mac on Saturday should be abit of info on how it gripped in the mud and the rocks
  18. Ta Pete, don't want it for rocks, just the forthcoming slippy stuff I am **** at, and your not rubbish
  19. I do like to hear about peoples ambitions in life, even if far fetched
  20. Nice one Chewy, just what I,m after, will order one tomoz from Stroud
  21. Any good in the wet? I've heard they are, do they go off quick? about to get a spare rear wheel for Gerty so need a new tyre, tried the X-Lite, very good tyre but goes down over night and wears very quickly.
  22. If that post doesn't get a response then nowt will The Dishes, its a busy time for accountants what with all the Tax returns going in, did hear he had a blinder at Breakhart last weekend though and hopefully he'll be doing Stockenchurch in a couple of weeks so I can catch up with him
