  1. Let us know what the 200's like mate not had a go on one yet and want to try it before the 250 and 290. I've used EBike and Bennets before now, both under 100 quid
  2. Go with Jon on that, the Hebo is the dogs danglies, hardly know you wearing it and the liner come out real easy for washing, also has a gay batman cape thing at the back, never tried it but i doubt you could fly using it,way to small
  3. ATF dexronlll, works great in Rev3's, change it every couple of months and buy some spares with the savings,
  4. As Zippy says, WD40 works a treat for squeals but the best stuff is 3in1 oil earplugs have the advantage though of maintaining brake power and eliminating the noise
  5. I had this problem with my 07, terrible noise, drowned out Dads 4rt, I think I changed pads which pretty much cured it, might have been those "Braking" ones, sintered
  6. Welcome to the Sherco front end Stu
  7. What times kick off Pete? be up for that if its dry
  8. Mike, I'll give that number plate till section 2 mate
  9. Dont quote me on this but I have a feeling not having a number plate at all is less of an offence than an Illegal one,

    Beta Reed Spacing

Adam, yes its where you think it is, not been for a few years but hope to go up soon If theres a spacer between the cyclinder and reed block I dont think thats the one to take out, pretty sure the one I took out was between the carb and block. When you get the Boyesens be really carefull taking them out of the blister pack, I used a scalpel and carefully cut around them, you dont want to bend them when opening the pack. Make sure you choose a really good fitting screw driver to take out the reed petals from the block as they are mega easy to round and loctite them back in, you dont need the rev plates with Boyesens either. I didnt need to re-jet the carb and the difference was very noticable in the low end rev range, the bike became very hard to stall and ran cleaner. If you can ever get hold of AvGas it works very well in Rev3's, mix it 50/50 with super unleaded and 70ml of TTS Castrol in 5 litres
  11. You,ve got Nettleton - Agges Hill and Killkenny all within a stones throw away for practice then
  12. As John says, sounds like a blocked fuel tank breather

Not sure what year rev3 you,ve got Adam but we used to take the spacer out between the carb and reed block (cant remember but dont think its alu) this made the pickup alittle cleaner from low revs under load (not sure why?) but the biggest advantage was it made putting the carb back on reall easy , did this on my 04 and 06 rev3 - 270's Boyesen reeds work brilliant in the 270 as well as the 27.5(i think) pilot jet
  15. Not sure on that mate, you'll be nice and close in Glos to BVM Moto, loads of spares and clothing based in Stroud
  16. Should be plenty of Trials around Glos, have a look on the Western Centre ACU site, shows all the Trials for the year and neighbouring centres, why would,nt you want to wear a crash helmet? pretty sure you have to now, amazes me anyone would ride without one
  17. Side stand removal is the very very first job with a new bike for me and many of my mates, they get caught up on rocks or bust if you ride like us, right pain in a***. You cant very often use it at a trial anyway with uneven ground and slop a near by tree or rock works much better or if youve got a 4rt just lay it down anywhere. Always looks good sticking the brand new sidestand back on the bike when you come to sell it as well
  18. I,ve had a 4rt for 2 years now and its been a fantastic bike, I,m about to change to a 200 or 250 Evo simply because I fancy a change and one other reason. The Mont has been great fun to ride,I,ve never owned a Trials bike yet (and I,ve owned a fair few over the years) that puts a smile on my face every time I kick it over. The build quality is second to non, no other Trials bike comes close and the reliability has been exceptional (2 years and no problems even small whatsoever) The Mont rides the same every day whether it be in the middle of winter -10 or midlle of summer 80+, no carb to clean and air box always stays clean. I,d have no problem hanging onto this bike for the next ten years if I had too its been that good but..........?????????????? like many I have struggled to master grip with it in the very slippy conditions, like a tractor if theres plenty of water about or its p***ing down but shiney polished mud its a nightmare. Be wary of this fact when you decide to buy,the Mont grips very different to anything you will have ridden before, yes I,ve adapted to it and how the power comes in but I struggled dearly first few months to get grip in the winter and I,m not a novice rider. Hope Dad will explain just how bad i struggled with it to start with as I doubt anyone would beleive me if I said here, the only reason I didnt sell it in the first month was because of all plus points some of which I mentionaed above. I stayed away from muddy trials and if it looked like it was going to p*** down on a weekend where it could get slippy I'd go for a practice instead. Not trying to put you off at all but you must try one in the slippy stuff first or it could be an expensive mistake, the Mont can be a handfull due to its power delivery and weight for someone who hasnt ridden for years but you may love it like I have. If you do go the 4rt way there are a few things you can do to improve it like air filter type gearing etc, just ask on here Good luck
  19. Missed this thread when it came out , cant quite beleive what I,ve just read
  20. If someone had parked their car on my lawn I'd have ridden over it Clarkey, did,nt have a clue who James Corden was so looked him up on the web, looks abit familiar does,nt he? I have heard Cucumber sarnies are always on tap at your house but as you say the Rochers are no go and only for dinner party guests and royalty. You,ve reminded me to pop my bike over for a service mate if you dont mind,as i know you love the spanners and fetling, I've done a link below that might be of help in the future Helpfull Clarkey Maintenance Tips part1
  21. Thats great news Andrew, was only thinking about this a week or two ago
  22. If you want to actually compete in Trials get the most modern bike you can afford, Trials is hard enough on a modern bike to learn let alone something over 20 years old that isnt really a Trials bike anyway. If though you want to do some road work and trails then maybe the Reflex is best but again wouldnt you be better off getting a more modern Trail bike for the job.

Clarkey thats very good for an accountant lol, will let you have a little go on her when she comes mate Haha got to give it good go Dave, best to get the scratching out the way on the first day mate else you spend 3 months riding nothing Dad I,ve got a spare air filter and and a left hand mudguard bolt your welcome to have mate I think Ralph (The Pest) is hoping it will self ride so he can stop in bed whilst the Trial is on? I,m not convinced though Thanks Andrew, I might just take you up on that one, you got anywhere in mind to try it out? No didnt feel to quick at all Mark, not as powerfull as the Mont I was just surprised how much it had compared to what I thought it might, been about 10 years since I owned a 250 2 stroke. You might be right about the 200 but I,ve got to give it a good go before I decide, Throw it at a few big steps and that eh Dave
