  1. WTC sections will get bigger next year not smaller and more dangerous, I think this will happen across the board down to club trials, a tight turn with no run up at a step etc limits the size of the obstacle, plenty of run on the same obstacle makes it easy so we'll get a good non stop run up and a much bigger step etc. Same for all events, the top lads will adapt overnight as they did years ago when it went non stop and many lads will pack in, lads like hopping and stopping ask them. AndySV had a very good point about being able to stop infront of an obstacle before having a go, I like to do that and many do, have a go when your not ready and it'll be a good crash or as Andy said not bother with events. The stop for 1 mark was a bloody joke, this will be worse for any thing south of Stoke, most of our land down here is small and very limited on what can be set out, the hard route has to be hoppy to take marks and have little or no run up at things. I hope me old mate Scorpa3 as a Clerk of the course and Club sec could say how the hard route would change at say Saintbury to take marks without stopping? I may be wrong and hope I am but I think it will involve run ups at some right nasty stuff or that fecking log
  2. Dixie, your on another planet mate, the gap is way bigger now than ever, one route trials would be a disaster, you'd have 20 riders on zero, most on 100 plus and the rest over 200
  3. I think Bilco might have a point, I beleive we will now see large scale breakaway clubs and trials, I'm pretty sure most lads wont go for this
  4. Steve Saunders sells the best decals, really thick last for ages and stick like **** to a blanket, even the air box one lasts months and months can buy through BVM Moto
  5. I had my first go on a Gasser 125 yesterday and really enjoyed it, bike felt plenty powerfull enough and very very easy to ride, bottom end was stronger than I thought it would be and Iam sure I would get used to it within a day. Due to its obvious lack of power compared to the bigger bikes you put it where you want it to go not the other way around, I was well impressed will be on the look out for a fuel injected one as of now. Just to add this was an ex ACE Team Trial bike so expect it had a few mods, still impressive though and I think another TC regular was impressed as well
  6. Thanks Perce good man, see your doing really well fella Andy I have noticed before but forgot to say the Trials Reviews forum isnt linked to the home page? if possible could it be thanks
  7. I like that I'll bloody have one again one day I,m sure out practicing with lowbrow tomoz maybe he'll let me have a go on his 09 and he can try Gerty
  8. Gordon, if it plays perfect then why worry? I'll see if I can dig out my copy and see what it looks like for you
  9. I might be thinking of the wrong place James sorry, the Top Farm I know is near Broadway glos, there must be somewhere down Stroud way with the same name by the looks of it
  10. Hi James, I dont know the number but Pete will probably mail you it this evening if he looks on here. Just to let you know Top Farm is good when its dry and near impossible when wet so keep an eye on the forecast and previous days rain before you make plans.
  11. You lot are bloody rubbing it in now.....stop-it!!!!!
  12. Difference between V force reeds and Boyesens is about 100 quid, I used Boyesens on my Rev3 and the improvement of low end power is really noticable. The bike seems never to stall, runs better low down and picks up strong but not sharp. Try the reeds first I doubt you'll need the head after. Make sure you loctite the small screws holding the reeds on to the block and spend abit of time making sure you get a really good fitting screwdriver to take the screws out as they're easy to round. You dont need the rev plates with the Boyesens and I always removed the spacer between the reed block and carb which gave better response to the motor along with making putting the carb back in easy. Motomerlin sell Boyesens if you dont know where to get them from. V Force reeds can be a ******* to set up but you shouldnt need to rejet the carb with Boyesens, I always used a 27.5 pilot jet in mine which worked really well
  13. If its the same as an 03 pro the only thing holding the clutch in is a small allen head bolt in the centre, there should be 10 small allen head bolts holding the plates in place on the outside of the clutch.
  14. 50/50 is the best way In my opinion, keeps the middle route as it is now, the better middle route riders who fancy abit more of a challenge can go 50/50 and the getting abit old for 6 foot splats(Me ) can drop down to 50/50 instead of the middle route. Yes more marking needed but only on the start boards. The western centre hard route has got to hard for me to enjoy these days and the middle route may be to easy so 50/50 would suit me and plenty like me in the future. Saying that though it depends on the club, Stratford hard route, Earl shilton etc are fine for me to get through and wouldnt want anything easier or harder, some of the riders behind me though (not many) must struggle abit in places but would find the B route to easy
  15. 250 will drag you round easy mate, more likely to chuck you off than that GSXR ever will . Shercos are good bikes, dont buy if its got any nasty noises though, should start first couple of kicks and make sure you try all the gears and they are ok and positive. Clutches stick on Shercos so dont worry if its doesnt work untill a few metres of riding from cold its normal. Check the oil in the case make sure it isnt milky and ask what the bikes been run on (oil fuel etc) Wheel bearings are an easy fix so dont worry about those if shot, check play in rear shocker not major cost for new bearings but knock abit off, if theres signs of leaking oil from shock walk away. Front fork seals are cheap so more hassle value then cost, tyres prob wont be good but remember its a cheap bike for a grand
  16. The floats are stuck, tap the float bowl and it should release them, if not then the fuel needle is worn or dirty
  17. Try using the highest Octane Unleaeded you can get Shell is a good one or 50/50 with Avgas, as said above pinking is pre ignition/detonating of the fuel via heat or compression or both
  18. Should think I'll be doing the next Stratford Trial Brad, dont rush into buying a bike yet untill youve had a go on a few, Ive got a 4rt Mont which you are more then welcome to try if you turn up sure a few others will let you have a quick spin on theirs as well. I,ve had a go at lots of bike sports and nothing comes close to the enjoyment and challenge of Trials riding, the advantage of starting out in it is you will learn new things every time you ride and wont break any budgets doing it. You should get a good starter bike for a grand if you wanted,boots/clothing etc prob 300 quidish which will last years. All bikes have their good and bad points and some have unridable power for most of us so dont jump in before at least asking on here or trying a few out, maintenance on Trials bikes is really easy and as long as you keep on top of them they will run for years.
  19. Hi Brad, Im sure Pete (Scorpa3) will post shortly hes near Evesham and runs the Stratford upon Avon Trials club, theres quite a few clubs around or near you and quite a few places to go practicing within 30 mins. Youve just missed two trials near Chipping Campden but there are plenty of helpfull people around to guide you in the right direction. I think Stratford have a Trial at the begining of August, best bet is to come along and have a chat and find out whats what, its a great sport, good laugh and great people, keeps you fit as well and will help the road riding no end
