I eventually got it out. I soaked it for a few days with parrafin, its really good a penitrating (excuse me sir), used in industry for finding holes that water can't get through, it leaves an oil residue, its also used for cooling/lubricating aluminium when cutting. Also i had some in the garage and couldn't be bothered to go and buy anything.
Thanks for the surgestions
Cheers

Is the knocking not just the floating front disk.

I think we should start the "crap Trials Team", The italians have that top trials team or what ever. I think we could atract some sponsership from somone, coz when you think about it, every one remembers that idiot that made a right ar*e of a section, so they would take more notice of us than the top riders, hence better coverage for sponsers . Sounds logical to me, but then again so do lots of things .

When i used to ride motox i allways used the No 13, Ricky Johnson one of my riding heros at the time used to use it, thats a while ago . I've never been offered it at a trial but theres no way it could make my results any worse .

Looking at those photo's it looks like the bottom yoke pinch bolts have not been tight enough making the top yoke take all the weight, most of it will have been on the nut that holds the top yoke on.

When I was at a trial today I let a guy have a go on my bike as he was interested in getting one. He mentioned that at his next birthday he will be 80. Its one of the reasons why I like trials, is the fact that the main deciding factor is skill. I remember another guy I met a couple of years ago at a trial who I was talking to who was 78, riding a BSA C15, He was more than double my age riding a bike that was over ten years older than me, I was ridding a brand new bike and he finish on less than half my score . If I can continue till I

It depends if you are taking the folk from scotland into account, if you are then yorkshire/derbyshire would be the middle.

only the same as what you would pay for some modern bikes.

Can't be him, he hasn't got a gob full of walkers crisps.

That sounds like some electrical component breaking down with heat, not anything to do with carb or mixture.

according to dougie and martin 6 front, 4 Back and dont go more than .5 ether way. to be checked every trial after warming them up.

The hills i was trying had parts where it was quite steep (almost vertical) and the ground was loose and dry, so it required a bit of speed to get over these bits. Its only when playing about that i will come across these so its not realy a problem.
I'll see if renthal do one. I like there chains, had one on for over a year and it never stretched in the sligntest.

Unfortunatly i work night shift on sundays, so sunday trials are out (untill i get another job). I'll be doing the weardale trial next saturday though . Was garry out representing team sandifords/repsol/white bros Montesa.

Hi all
Was out playing on my scorpa yesterday, and was doing some hill climbs. My gear choice for hill climbs so far has always been 1st or 2nd and screem the breasts off it . I had never atempted any thing in 3rd as i thought A)the bike would not pull it from a standing start, B)i get a judder from the clutch pulling away in 2nd never mind 3rd. however i tryed a couple of hills in 3rd and it seamed to go up ok apart from said judder. So the first question has to be dose anybody know how to stop the judder, i am not sure if it's the clutch or the chain. And secondly how are people finding it on hill climbs.
