  1. Hello i fitted a flange towbar to my car a few months ago, as far as i know there is only one make of this type of towbar made and thats Whitter quite expensive tho over

    Yes but the 270 rev was well known for being mad i got a 2010 Evo 290 after riding a 250 Scorpa, never got on with the Scorpa but the Evo is brilliant the low end power is phenominal without being harsh: engine maping 1 for rocks 2 for mud. its the low end power that is really usefull and no more stalling!

    Just spoke to Birkitts they just received 20 2 strokes (09) these gonna be the last ones with Yamaha engines! They dont know what engines they gonna use next year.

  5. The front brake of my 250sy is binding, have altered it to the limit at the lever end in fact if i remove the lever altogether it still binds!
  6. The last trial we were at we saw a couple of 2Ts with the ignition box moved to under the seat area next to the air box.Unlike the 4T there is plenty of room on the 2T.
  7. my mate was out on his 300 evo on sunday with us,he previously had a 08 250 rev4. His first impressions are good the engine response is more aggressive,the lock is greatly improved the bike does feel lighter. the carburation does appear rich in same way that the 08 was,this was cured on 08 by replacing main jet of 127.5 with a 112. So he rekons this should improve things but will wait to see what lampkins recommend re jetting. Big concern is the location of the ignition box low down on side of engine appears vulnerablt to knocks and more worrying,deep water,feel sure this can and will be relocated as people are doing on the 2t evo. So to sum up,he rekons once run in and leaned of will be the 4 stroke to have (MONTS TO DEAR)

Yep i was told that: loads of bikes wiith no silencers! but apparently the supplier is strapped for cash & cant afford to make em!! but when do i bite the bullet & say sod it & wait for an 09, christ i might be going for a 4 banger yet {against my better judgement!) That sounds ominous about 2t engines though ooer.

  11. my 06 has also started pinging/pinking really annoying i have tried all the things u mention,my 05 didnt do it,i am totaly convinced that pinking is caused by slightly advanced ignition.if you have the flywheel tool (i dont) then retard ignition a tiny fraction. Saying this i think your misfiring at top end is electrical breakdown possibly coil,ignition unit. good luck if you find the answer let us know..i hope the 07 doesnt ping/pink i have one on order.but if it does i will buy the flywheel tool.
  12. Can anyone tell what the performance difference between the English spec SY 250 & the R spec SY 250 Scorpa.
