Do not just jump on it, you have to make sure it is engaged. It takes a fast kick to work. I sometimes have the same trouble, I just get my big kid to start it. The funny thing is it`s a 300 Raga and the previous owner sold it for not being able to start it!
-
The BP stands for projected reach. Its longer. You can use a bp5es- bp8es. I always ran a BP5es , but we are at high elevation.
-
Glenn you scoring this weekend?
-
Sounds like a plan. You drive like we do here in the southwest!
-
That would be why he did not notice it!
-
Sure it was not an Econo model. Those were the clamps used on the 38mm forks.
-
If we were young, I`d say practice like hell. My suggestion would be the weekend before get 4 hours of good hard riding both days. Go out and ride a loop ( I know you have some space) of fairly easy sections, then make them harder the second loop. On that loop ride them till you clean them. Tottaly wear yourself out that weekend. Monday and Tuesday work on the bike. Wednesday ride hard for one hour in the yard you have. Show up to the event one day early. Ride for two hours just getting used to the terrain. Park the bike have some cold refreshments with your buddies (Competitors too, let them know how great it is to be riding!) Sneak off to bed early, Good Luck!

That would be one of the exhaust rubbers slightly modified since they break constantly.
-
Sherco shows them. They have to be very close.
-
If you want to see real twin shock pointers get Bernies book. Best trials book ever. On the fun side get Shipmans trials just for fun. You would enjoy them both, vs the new style of riding.
-
Great that you are happy. I could put the right fork together that it would be shorter than the compression side without any physical changes. It is just a matter of how air and oil are bleed. Still a very strange set up.
-
Yes, you can run a tube in a tubeless tire. Doing so you do not remove anything from the rim. So does your tire have rim locks to run tube type tires?
-
That guy in the video is a very good rider. You can also learn to turn. On a street bike you turn by opposite bar pressure. (Most riders never learn this) In trials you turn by peg pressure. (Riders are still waiting to learn this.) Practice is what it takes. Static balance is great in the yard if you have time. To balance on concrete takes skill. Good luck.
-
Sounds like the main bearings are gone. Grab ahold of the flywheel and check for movement.
-
Something not cheap, but needed. The bash plate needs an upgrade. The TLR had a real one.
-
Dan is very correct. Unscrew the cap and clean back the wire. It`s easy, fast and costs nothing to try.
-
You are fouling plugs, quit playing with the old ones just put a new one in. Have you changed oil or mixture? Cleaned the filter or cleaned out the exhaust. Check the grounds, or you might be needing a stator.
-
You cannot compare the Sherco parts book to the beta 80. The forks may look similar, but they are not. Never buy a bike from a crazy person. I would say look into the Beta parts, but they were never accurate on what was in the youth bikes.
-
Some how I doubt you will get much feedback. Not a trials thing to do, but good luck.
-
You are right, my mind is slipping.
-
83/84 yz125/250 complete front wheel (zsp0ke) caliper and master cylinder. I had a friend fabricate an aluminum mount that just was clamped to the Ty forks. It was cheap off a parts bike and worked a treat. Better than all the trials brakes of that time.
-
The pads have likely been trashed with oil or some other chemical.
-
Yeah is right, usually on a Beta the only time I see that much of the engine is when the mains have finally given out on a well used bike!
-
A sleeve is not available. I think a sticker kit would be the way to go!
-
I`ve seen more than a few things, but never a cap. It was around `95 and Gas Gas USA was talking about caps. A garden hose washer was the cure. It is worth a shot.
