  1. Off hand I have no solution, but since it runs check the power coming to the fan as a starting point.

    Hopeful?

Great Looking bike. Too bad he is trying to get the 100 labor hours he paid out of it!

  4. Thanks, cool part was Sammy in his Team New Mexico riding gear!
  5. Yes, things have always got lost in translation. The 2.5 is probably right.
  6. There are many things going on during a trials. You have to remind yourself to take it one obstacle at a time, one section at a time. Very easy for the mind to wander to the `thing` down the road you dread instead of what`s right in front of you. Slow down a little and pay attention to every section. (Even the easy ones) The stalling is usually more mechanical than mental. Idle too low, clutch dragging a little more, Rear brake pedal adjusted too high or not enough play. Take the time before the event to make sure the air/idle screws are set right for that day. Each day the weather can effect proper carb set-up just a little. The little points here and there is what separates the guys that always win and the ones that could have. You have to find that point that keeps you sharp. Find that `zone` that you ride the best. I find it best to ride by myself with no distractions. Many riders ride better slow, taking their time and truly finding better lines by watching all the competitors. Good Luck!

  8. By the way it was a GT160 back then. The 125-327 took the same plates. Probably just through Gas Gas.

    Tys 175 Choke

Best to pull choke apart, clean, and lube all associated parts. Not too many 175`s around. Nelly1 thought you talking about a Yamaha the way it was posted.
  10. My first post I ment the `tire` from a bicycle. Maybe a road tire. Flexible enough to fit the tube, but give you that layer of protection. The southern part of our state has thorns like that. Every plant and you would even swear the rocks are that way. We get flats, but not as often as you are having.
  11. You need to buy a cable. The only thing wrong with the original carb was the jetting too lean. Trick was to drill the pilot out (very hard to find the jet) and go to about a 105 main jet.
  12. The best bet is a TY80 until he is big enough to move to a full size.
  13. Pulled apart an `03 Pro 280 today. Sure enough, no bearings, just a bush!
  14. Got to have a tube to hold the bead. How about a bicycle tire within the front tire?
  15. Last time I shipped a Bike I used http://www.freightcenter.com/?utm_campaign=Primary&utm_content=FreightCenter&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term={QueryString}&kw=freightcenter&match=e&gclid=CNS6wciUrbsCFew7MgodYlwAvQ Got a low price and had many shipper choices. You have to follow the instructions closely or there could be hidden costs. Mine went from Albuquerque to Kansas City for 160.00 and that was in a trials motorcycle crate. Good luck.
  16. Thanks for that, I had to think about it a moment. It makes sense. The Beta that I had was a bike I had owned previously with no issues. I always wondered what had caused that!!!
  17. I had a Beta that would do this just once or twice a day. Never did figure it out. Replaced new master and new slave cylinder. Bled like crazy, but it only did it going uphill under power. We have a video of it on our clubs thread on adventure rider. It looks like I can`t ride as the bike just pulls away from me, all the while I`m trying to get the clutch to work. My son loves to watch that clip. Good luck and let us now what you find out!
  18. No matter what brand of motorcycle, when you have two clutch push rod`s there is usually a ball bearing. Washer probably was stuck to something you did not notice. Good Luck.
  19. Probably got some air in there when you tossed the bike on the ground.
  20. We have a guy that uses his middle finger for both the clutch and brake. His reasoning it gives him better grip on the bars. There now you have a new option Charlie!
  21. I never found any. We used to just weld an extension from an old foot peg. You can still buy just the extender to weld on.
  22. If you have never ridden trials and a little out of shape due to you injuries, I would recommend the Beta Evo 200. Trials is all about control, too much power and you are all over, too little and you are working the body to make it work. The 200 is often overlooked.
  23. Did you have the clutch apart. The pressure plate could be misaligned.
