  1. Good point. Im a bit fed up with seeing the best bike polls around. I try not to read them as they bore me to death...always the time. As Ishy said, someone should do a post like 'What are your favourite features about your bikes'. It just much to talk about, like its easy to work on, handles like a dream, looks the dogs bo**ocks and all that. Or even a dislikes topic...invent something new and original rather then the same old, same old.

    Simple Question?

Put them in, protect yourself, your forks and frame.
  3. Theres a drink I brought last night, an energy drink made with all natural stuff. Contained real lemon as the main flavour and added ginger, gurana and other stuff beging with g. It was
  4. Supposed to be on the PC at the end of January according to the managing director guy, so keep your eyes peeled!
  5. Never eat much in the morning when at school, as I have 10 minutes to get ready as Im a lazy git. In the weekends I ride both saturday and sunday, so I have time to eat if I feel like it...It will be one of the following stuff. Iced Tea with EVERYTHING foodwise, I'm a fond lover. Toast, with jam (more expensive, the nicer it is), beans, boiled egg...or nothing. Cereal, anything with dryied banana, can't be doing with that 'Coco Pops' crap. Weetabix is a bit tasteless and sickly on its tod, mix some apple chunks, banana, orange peices or anything you find. Smoothy, get your hands on a smoothy maker (just a food mixer) and chuck every fruit you find in with it, a spoon of sugar, and some milk, leave it for about 5 minutes on the spin so its properly cut up (drink some in the morning, take a cup out with you on a ride). Coffee and buscuits. Chocolate/Orignal HobNob buscuits, coffee with 2 coffees, no sugar, to wake you up. Toasty, get a toasty maker, heat it up, but the bread on, then cheese, then beans, then tomato sauce (optional) and then the other bread, close the toasty maker, leave for 5 minutes...nice. Buttie, Bacon (smoked/normal from butchers ONLY, not packaged, its loads nicer) and fresh UNCUT bread. Cut the bread about 5cm thick, and plaster in tomato sauce. EXPRESSO MACHINES ARE GENIUS INVENTIONS! Happy Eating! HRC
  6. Hi, Do you observe there regularly?
  7. 5 months left. Worth posting on the 'hints and tips' page. (ssdt.org) HRC
  8. Although, correct me if im wrong, the UK law reguard motorcycle riding says it is against the law to ride a motorcycle without covering the arms. Is this just a 'stay safe' thing for the clubs insurance? So when the insurance asked if Mr.SoandSo had his arms covered, they can say yes. I think the insurance see's anything that covers the skin is protection. Although as the trials clothing gets lighter, the protection goes down. Im in two minds about this...
  9. I thought that youth riders had to have long sleeves, but older riders it was optional. I dont really think a 1mm thin sleeve is going to do much to save your arms.
  10. Nah, Dad wondered off to Donington Market as there was a classic bike show thing. Just went out riding, completely forgot about the trial today. Will be at the next...hopefully. Was it good?
  11. Did anyone used to ride there years ago and know somebody with the surname 'Bostock'? Was talking to a guy at my practice spot, he said he used to ride a Yamaha Majesty and he rode at Pathfinders & Derby club and also the Mac 17 club. He told me that a few years ago at Pathfinders they used to have a Saturday Night trial, with 3 laps. He won it once and got a
  12. I was watching some Motorcycle tours programme today on Men and Motors, then an advert came up about Trials. Had loads of footage from the Trials Rounds they had a clip of the waterfall, and a rider hitting it (like raga does) but he hit it front wheel first then flew over the bars and dropped off the side of it. Where was this round and who was the rider? It looked painful.
  13. Yes they do. And Todotrial.com seems to have a few of them a year. I remember one reguarding Mr.Lampkin and Motocross. The sports quads are not as bad...still dangerous, but at least there lighter. The big quads I think should be kept for farm use...high power, low speed, handy for move big loads, there not built for racing or trials. If they want to do 'trials' on a quad let them...its their life in danger...and the spectators. HRC
  14. Been on a few quads. Mostly my dads mates Honda Big Red 500cc tanks. There horrible...deadly. It has a kind of powersteering, and turned remarkably easyly. Anyway, I was riding a lot and turned the bars...The two wheels shot off, nearly tipped it over. There are a lot of kids on ther 50cc and 80cc quads, only about 9 years old and riding on two wheels, going endos, wheelies and alsorts. Not so bad with the 80cc quads maybe, but the 250+ quads weigh a ton..you have no chance of getting one of them off your chest when you flip it.
  15. In my opinion, counting the 12345 dabs would be exellent for beginners, It would suit them, they would achieve more, learn more in the sections and they would enjoy the trial more, rather then 5ing straight away. However the more older/experienced riders should know better and would have riden using the rules, therefore they are used to getting 5's when they fail. There the rules, they should stick to them.
  16. EurosportGB...Italy and Hong Kong round. About 4pm.
  17. Heated grips? Its a trial bike! Decent pair of gloves, if it gets too cold...Use the downpipe.
  18. I also hate it. If you go to your local store, you could pick up a bottle of water, with a hint of lemon, blackcurrent and apple. It is normal mineral water, with a tad of flavour...much more nicer. I dont drink fizzy stuff, so flavoured water is more me. Watermelon, as mentioned before is the nicest fruit known to man.
  19. Thanks, I'll check it out. I have a few big sports stores near me. HRC
  20. The date was mentioned on the Hong Kong Round last night. The date that Sheffield round will be shown is Friday 9th January 2004. The channel is EUROSPORT-GB. Note: Try not to set your recorders to an automatic recording because the programme times change many times due to boxing, cricket, football, sumo wrestling or whatever is on.
  21. 1st of January?? Strange date....think about the hangovers.
  22. What do you do with it exactly dabsalot?
  23. Let us know how you get on if you go ahead with it. Including results. Might give it a go...
  24. Have a great christmas all...dont get too drunk
