Had one on mine quite a few years ago and no problems. Maybe not for a moto-x bike but fine with a trials bike. Made going up the steeper hills in snowy weather a little more exciting too

Yep we did it at H&D racing. I have been searching for the pics since i saw this post of all the bits that we took before the bike was built back up, but i seem to have deleted them for some reason somewhere?
Standard bike with all the black bits done in satin black powder coat and all the red bits done in polyester anodise look red dye powder coat.
The bike was indeed to replicate Brownies TTT bike and the rear fender fitted was the rev4 one as that was the only avaliable at the time in black.
As well as looking good you should have got a good bike there as it had not done a lot as was bought from the original owner who we customised it for,by a local lad who lives near me and he never rode it for a year, only trotted around his paddock. Not sure who had it after that and how it got from York to Wales though.
Certainly still looks nice though

Yes there are stubby levers to fit your 315, but cant tell you where im afraid, rules
-
Always do it, doesnt matter what bearings you get, there is very little grease in any of them. Last for ages then
-
i tried that, it don't get answered
-
Yup but it is hard not to clip out of the clip on pedals at the lights on the road bike , is that what you meant

This comes under the powder coating is rubbish thread also. Powder is only as good as the monkey doing it and many of the cheap coaters do tend to blast the frames with coarse abrasive therefore about buggering the frame. As the steel is in such a rough condition the frame then needs two coats of powder to make it smooth again, this often means too much thickness and especially if the numbers have not been partially masked off (as we do to keep it nice and thin just over the numbers) then the seond hot (and invariably heavy) coat just smooths the numbers right over and yep leaves them impossible to read, hope this helps

There is not one specific article that i wanted to point to, it was that the appearence is that when you got sent a press release by sherco or scorpa etc, you put a picture up on the front page of the new bike with a simple explanation of the launch of any said machine.
Whereas with the xispa you just put it in here and refuse to put it up on the front page rather than just the basic formality of the others?
I have no vested interest anywhere along here but was just curious?
-
I did not think that sherco were sponsors of TC, but they seem to do pretty well for all their publicity and press releases on Tc regrads new models etc??
I know what has gone on, but at what point does the info for jo public about all the bike brands (rather than just adverts for parts & acessories etc companies) become an advert rather than info?

Oh for goodness sake...
Posers-erm trials riders then!
Dangerous, that will usually be the driver of a killing machine then?
Riding two abreast is legal and they do not have to pull in, most with common sense will do so.
All this excitement and hatred of other road users just boils down to inconvenience then yes? What about a horse on the road,a tractor,a 50cc moped, a trials bike doing 40mph, all involve crossing the white line to pass. The person in the large motor vehicle is the potential dangerous one, according to the highway code you should wait till the road is clear before overtaking anything. Any attempt to do so before is pure impatience even if you have to wait 10 mins, better than killing another person yes?
I live in the sticks and am inconvenienced every day by other users of the countryside, like all of above and tourists and townies thinking that they are driving down an A road down a back lane, trials riders blocking entances to venues, gangs of poseurs on push bikes, runners, dog walkers, etc etc etc, it's pure intolerence of something that you are not interested in not to have the patience for 5 mins. Yes there are large groups of idiots on push bikes who get in the way, the same as large groups of any idiots (trail riders near me) but i dont ever recall suggested trying to maim or kill any of them!
As for the time trialling, (i am one of those tossers you Wonker!) i get your point but... at most of the nationals there are regularly marshalls on the road stopping or warning vehicles that trials bikes are joining the road from a field, these are the same trials bikes that are also trying to get to the finish in on time and have there course marked and flagged all along the way. You are not supposed to be chasing against the clock on the road on a trials bike either.
Im sure that you would not mind waiting for a couple of lads coming out on the road on their trials bikes when you are going along in your car as you would have an interest??
Again yes there is the minority, just like there is you Bilco, but that does not mean that all are the same.
Seems a shame to get so excited about being delayed slightly...
Image in you live in Fort William and dont like motorcycles, bet May is hell
If it cant be shown , then do not expect tolerence to be given...
Exactly well said.
"Imagine the out cry if we ride two or three abreast blocking the road?"---erm most do
And dont get me started on these bloody classic bike runs where there are loads of the old banger motorcycles, riding round together blocking up the road and dumping oil evreywhere creating a danger to other road users!!!
Oh and i have insurance--- not many trials riders do!
-
Cant/wont speak for the ramblers, but maybe the cyclists were riding like that to make themselves seen and ensure that all the no brain numptys in vans (again not all) actually slow down or give them room when they overtake? Most of these idiots (bilco etc??) dont give a second to think what would happen to a person if they clipped their handlebars at 60mph and dragged them to the floor! The majority of these to$$ers also have kids of their own as well, and presumably see the rage with a machine with pedals rather than a person like themselves or their kids... You would not be happy if you were doing a road trial and loads of idiots passed you within a foot doing 3 times your speed and nearly knocking you off, not once but most of the day, you would soon get sick of it.
I am sure that there are idiots who ride cycles just the same as there are idiots who rides trials bikes (see above), but you shouldnt treat the majority by the actions of the minority, you should all know that being trials riders.
As for slamming on the brakes well

Full stop or no stop, are we talking rules

Apparently the Police have been looking for some punctuation theives after the show. Lots of people were running out of breath reading the show reports and it was deemed to be a danger to the public's health, anybody seen a comma
-
For all of you that do not read the news on the front page, then please do so, as the Colonial has had to be cancelled again for the 2nd year due to the high level of snow up in Rosedale
-
Hey TFT, here all the time but do not post that much anymore. I am constantly making a real hard effort to keep out of mischief
-
747 all day and year long. The best and only 2 stroke oil worth having imho, you get the smell and also the best oil avaliable for a 2t. Considering the amount that you have to put into a modern 2t, ie around 80:1 with this stuff one bottle will last ages anyway.Plus never try and save a few quid and run cheap oil, i mean really what is the point?
I have run it in a kx 500 supermoto and all my 2t trials bikes and never had and engine or oil problem, speaks for itself really
-
So you can buy the fender graffics and stickers then after all???
-
-
Ring Mick at M-Sport he will sort you out with all you need, and with the care and experience that you would want !!
-
Certainly shouldn't shrink, it hasnt been knocked on the mounting areas or i know it may be obvious but your mounting bolts are all ok and not bent?
But also it aint a sticker it is actually a carbon fibre look paintjob, as if you flick them over and look underneath you can see where the pattern fades away into overspray. The large capacityu factory ones were made of real carbon as we havd one that was Amos's.

Oi ya boojer, no i wasn't ,i was answering a vague question and then defending misen against an agressive hilltop jock worrier
