  1. Yep...the one from the 2002 pro I had three in one year and two clutches. ALL new bikes have teething problems in the first years.
  2. Have you tried adjusting the spring preload ? I know it looks like the spring isn't adjustable but it is. If you look at the lower part of the shock you will see that there are grooves and the spring seat has a wire C clip under it. After compressing the spring you can move the C clip up to the next groove. So adjusting the preload. It's quit a few years sins my boy was on the Gas Gas 50 boy. but I remember it as a great little bike.

  4. I got a very good one from TFH gazebos the year before last,we use it for signing on and as a camping kitchen/gathering point. It has stood up very well in all sorts of weather and has been carted all round Europe on some of our longer camping trips. As fare as I can remember it was about £190.00/£200.00 with free delivery.
  5. My son and I both used Jitsie Bolt T1 kit for the last 18 months.Very good kit, still looks like new even my son's white kit still looks bright and comes up clean.
  6. Knowing Jack Sheppard well, I know he has it in him to mix it up at the top. This young men has the talent and determination to succeed. All he needs is time on his new bike, something he has sadly been unable to get over the winter. As we say down here"GO JACK GO"
  7. I see it listed as Saturday 5th May at 09.30 am. On motors TV UK.
  8. Last time the trial was at this venue there was a mini bus running up and down the hill for the older or less Spritely of us.
  9. You don't say how long ago the oil was last changed. But It's Probably only clutch friction material if it's dark gray. If it's sparkly metal look deeper. My son's 80 always had a sticky clutch until I followed the advice in the clutch fix post at the top of this forum. After it was lick a totally different bike!

    Wiring Loom

Hi bondy Try Bultaco uk.co.uk thay are very helpful and with one of there manuals you could make up your own wiring loom. Only three or four wires in total.
  11. choice is king, Let one be banned and before you know it our sport will be banned! All the bleeding hart tree huggers need is an excuse.
  12. My lad started off on the Gas Gas 50 boy age five. although at first sight the rear shock looks like it's not adjustable you can set the spring preload. If you look at the lower part of the shock you will see some grooves in to which a wire C clip slips, the lower spring plate then sits on this.Make shore this is set on the bottom groove. What I did to lower the bike even further was put two jubilee clips on the shock spring, one each side over two of the coils and pinched them down a bit. Dropping the forks through the yokes is a bit hard as they soon hit the underside of the handlebars. But you can drop the front by removing two plastic spring spacers from the top of the forks. Just prize off the rubber caps, press the ally slug down with a socket extension and release the C clip.Under the alloy slugs there are the spacers. Each about two inches long make of black plastic tube. As my lad got a bit taller I cut one of the spacers in half and popped one half in each side. I hope this helps you and you have many years of fun with your lad on what is a great little bike P.S If your cooling fan packs up DON'T get one from Gas Gas.£70.00+ go to any computer outlet and get the same fan for under £10.00.

    Footpegs

I fitted a set of these to my son's EVO the other week. In red they look fab and he tells me they are more comfortable on the sole's than the standard steel pegs.
  15. At 9 years old he would be better off on an 80cc bike. I would recommend the BETA.My son had one and in all the years he road it it was never any trouble.Always started first time and ran as sweet as a nut. He is now on the BETA EVO 125. Check out the classified's there is a good 05 for sale in Lowestoft !
  16. WELL DONE JACK ! From all at the NORFOLK & SUFFOLK JUNIOR Mcc. We all Know what this has cost you in hard work and pain over the years.NO ONE DESERVES IT MORE.
  17. Thanks for the reply's We had the chance to ride both a standard 2010 and 2011 125s a few weeks ago and I was totally blown away at how strong they were. But you could certainly tell which one was which. I will give Lampkins a call and see what they say. Thank,s Paul
  18. I have just purchased a new 2011 Evo 125 for my 12 year old. I have been told by another dad that a good mod for the 2011 bike is to fit a 2010 fly wheel as it,s heavier an so gives the bike a bit more torque. Has any one done this mod? if so is it a straight swap or do you need to modify any thing. Paul
  19. I have a set of plastics for the Gas Gas 50 Boy In pink! I had them painted by a pro paint shop using all the correct primers an plasticisers.(so the paint stays flexible and wont crack) In the end my daughter didn't take to trials and I sold the bike with a new set of blue plastics on it. So if you think your girl would like her bike in a soft baby PINK email me at ---------------- and I'll send you some photos and my phone number.
  20. Try to have a ride on each and see which one you feel most comfortable on,as both are good bikes.Better still try to find a BETA 125. My son has a BETA 80 and today he and I have had the opportunity to ride two BETA 125s. one a standard 2011 and the other Jack Sheppards 2010 bike on which he won the UK round of the world youth championship. both bikes feel more like a 250 from four or five years ago than a 125.So YES a 125 will have enough power. P.S after we had ridden Jacks bike he was riding up an eight foot high vertical step from a standing start about three feet back.
  21. There is also a new practice ground near Wrentham just south of Lowestoft Suffolk. For details Phone 01502 741991 or 07723977559. Also for a new rider the Norfolk and Suffolk Junior Mcc is a good place to start off. Nice easy sections and a friendly welcome. We cater for kids from 4 to 74 years old. Next TRIAL 7th November near Thetford.phone 01502 568252 for more details.
  22. It was one of them impulse buys,There I was on the phone ordering other parts for the bike and before I knew it I had asked them to add it to my order.
  23. Thank you Swooshdave.I found the post(M80 Sherpa T rear wheel and axle) after looking at the photos you posted I can see that the spacer I have is to long as there is no room for the small spacer between the swinging arm and the brake plate.I will turn the big spacer down in the lathe in the morning.
  24. Can any one out there help with a photo/description of the order, size of the spacers used on a model 49. I have just purchased a speedo drive replacement spacer from Bultaco UK that seams to be to long.
  25. Hi theboo My lad has been riding a 2005 Beta 80 for the last three years. We've had no problems with it and I would go as far as say it's bullet proof,Clean it,Lube it,Ride it !
