Yup, I should have said northwest. I have only driven through the Chadwich area, But I plan to spend at least a day there on my next trip down. most likely I'll try to make contact with someone from neott when I know what dates I will be in the area.

I just got back from a week of fun in the sun on Beaver Lake (northeast arkansas) which is about 60 miles southwest of the Chadwick area. This was my first time down (my uncle owns a home on the lake) and I was very impessed with the area. Next time I am down to the lake I WILL be bringing my trials bike!!!

  7. This is purely anecdotal, but Caby seems to think the 4t has promise for the future. This is an excerpt of a recent interview from "Sherco News"... Q: Have you tested the Sherco 4T? Do you see yourself competing on it in the future? A: After the world round that was held in Tarragona I took one for a very short 5 minute ride, I just rode it around to get a feel for the bike. Later we decided that I should give the bike a thorough test and see where it was in comparison to my 2T. We took a stock bike and installed a set of "Cabestany" handlebars and my suspensions on it and took it where we had trained a couple of weeks prior on my 2T. We finished up the day with a smile on our face. On 95% of the sections I was able to surpass my performance over my 2T. Obviously the greatest problem was my lack of experience on the bike; I did not know how it would react in every situation. It proved to us that we have a very good base for the future.

    Ipone

Anybody know a good source for Ipone in the States? I've ordered twice now from Iponeusa.com and had terrible luck.
  10. Has anybody heard of these "speed bleeders"??? Seems like a nice tool for gravity bleeds. I searched the TC forums and came up with nothing. Who has experience/opinions????? Speed Bleeder home page
  11. Hey Alan, Did you ever get anywhere with the brake?

    Unicyclist, Wow!

Sam, were you watching Isaac L. ? He is amazing. Not afraid to try anything! He did a show for me a couple months ago. Did you know he has dropped from the roof of his house??!!! Has it on video somewhere. Sounds like your event went well over the weekend.
  13. PA. could you post a pic of the fender mod? My '01 does the same annoying thing!

    Stolen Bike

Well, it was good to see you and your daughter present AND smiling Sunday despite the bike loss! I think it's great that you introduced her to the sport and she latched right on...even borrowed a twin shock TY so as not to miss the first event! Good luck with the bike search. Hope to see you both this Sunday.

    Fork Leg Pinch Bolts

Hey, I finally got around to removing that pesky bolt! Charlie, the dowel rod worked like a charm. I then used an extractor to back out the remainder of the bolt. I chased the threads for good measure...Back in business!!! Thanks everybody for the tips
  17. "Or should I fill it half with water, then pipe in some exhaust?" Hey Sam, I don't know what kind of exhaust you really meant, but it sounds suspiciously like a water bong to me!
  18. Alan, Generally the hubs sit between the fork legs and not in them. The edges of the hubs that look like sleeves, act more like spacers between the legs. DT Swiss This link should take you to a picture of such a hub where the "spacers" are taperd. Might help visualize how it sits between the legs. I'll get back with more info later...
  19. Alan, Gaby here, and yes I have a bicycle shop. If you choose to go with a cable actuated brake, Avid is certainly the right choice. Also a good choice over hydro if you want to do it "cheap". a 20mm thru axle dh hub should be plenty of beef. Let me know exactly which parts you need and I'll see what I can come up with.

    Fork Leg Pinch Bolts

Thanks for the collaborative story Sherpa. I don't want to find myself in your shoes to be sure. I PROMISE I'll fix it before I take another ride!

    Fork Leg Pinch Bolts

Hope to get at it this weekend.
  22. Like bikespace mentioned (on the "expensive" thread) I use Nikwax on my trials boots with great success. Also use it on my Gore-Tex lined hiking boots as it does not clog the lining, allowing the boots to remain breathable.
  23. Just FYI to those interested...I noticed the online signup is now on the TTC website. www.trialstrainingcenter.com
