  1. Sounds perfect bud! Enjoy it, it’s a very addictive sport!
  2. Sorry don’t know why it keeps adding all of my pictures! Still not used to the quirks of posting on this forum!
  3. Should’ve posted a picture to show the levers , so here you go!
  4. So my new 4RT has come with braktec Master and slave cylinders fitted for both the front and rear brakes. I am assuming hay these are not fitted as standard to a normal out of the box 4RT? My question is relating to the free play in both levers, that is the vertical movement up and down, not the travel of the lever in normal use of the brake and clutch operation. So I would like to know if they all have so much free play? I can only describe it as wobble, it seems to be too much to me, perhaps about 25-30mm of vertical free play in each lever? I assume they have a brass bushing as the bearing inside the actual lever, but do they perhaps need spacers on the top and bottom? It would be nice to hear from anyone who has the same brakes on what yours are like? Thanks in advance, and sorry if it’s a dumb newbie question!
  5. I’ve just picked up a new to me Montesa 4RT. At first mine did exactly the same as your description, so I thought something was not right and rang the dealer. It turns out due to the fuel injection system, you must not even touch the throttle prior to starting it, my dealer even said don’t even put your had on the throttle grip, which I must have done, as now it starts first time. The process in the video from the Spanish guy is pretty much spot on. Out of interest what’s the advantage of using the special fuel you mention? I had not heard of it before. Hope this helps in a small way!
  6. Another newbie saying hello to you bud, hope you manage to get your bike ready for some off road fun soon!
  7. I’ve just recently joined here too chap. So welcome and have fun with your bike too! At least you have lots of great venues to play in around Wales!
  8. So you might have seen my intro and hello post re my new Montesa 4RT. Well I couldn’t buy a new bike and not have a helmet helmet to match, so I invested in this new Airoh TRR S model. It’s a fabulous helmet, can’t believe how light it is, spec says 850 grams, but it feels a lot lighter in use.
  9. Probably should add some pictures of my new steed, so here we go!
  10. Hi Guys, Been signed up for over a year but not made a post, so thought I should say hi. I have just taken delivery of a Montesa 4RT, not new, but good enough for me to get back into the sport. I previously owned another Montesa, a 315R and used to compete in local clubman trials. Something I plan to do again with my new to me 4RT.
  11. Hi everyone, been a member for over a year, just bought a second hand Montesa 4RT, so will post some questions!
