    Ssdt Result

WEll done to Dibble and Browny a great result for our yoof and the future of British Trials
  3. Sorry I can't compare the Lakes 2 Day to any other trial as no other trial comes close. There have been times when the level at the Lakes has been a bit too hard but the last couple if years have been spot on for most levels of riders. We intend to keep the same level for the forseeable future. Biggest problem with the Lakes is getting an entry, i have heard the Secretary is a bit of a git, but he can be bribed.. 4. Trials squad was named a couple of weeks ago, I sent coppies to the Press and Trials Central and to the squad Squad is. Seniors; Michael Brown, Sam Haslam, Lee Sampson,Ross Danby and Alexz Wigg. Juniors; Jack Challoner, Jonathan Richardson and Ben Morphett Ladies selected are Becky Cook and Donna Fox. The Trials and Enduro Committee believes that this squad represents the great talent that is around in this country at the minute and believes there is great possibilities for success. Mick Wren. Trials and Enduro Committee and Squad Manager
  5. I hope they give him a bloody truck ! Good luck Dibs Hope you like the bike too
  6. I can't believe there are so many replies to a picture of a shed
  7. Lakes 2 Day Trial entry is oversubscribed, no more entries please. Numbers and start times etc will be notified shortly Mick
  8. Thanks for the replies folks. Sort of illustrates what I have been trying to say. Most people are happy about the general way that the ACU runs trials> Some have a view on one particular issue. The points about overseas funding is a typical example. Most people are just happy to ride and they don't want to pay more for a few to ride abroad. We have the same thing with the enduro riders and the ISDE. I can say that the ACU do give small financial support to riders in the ACU Training squad but it a total embarrasment to me the small ammount I am able to offer them. We have had great successes this year, and hopefully more to come but the payments I will make them would make our overrated atheletes and tennis players split their sides laughing. The truck support argument is simple. The French,Spanish and Italian support set ups are payed for mostly by the national sports councils (governments) that is because they live in countries which LOVE motorcycles. We live in a country which views us as the anti christ and would rather ban us than support us Mick Have to go and hang upside down again !
  9. John Dickinson wrote in TMX that there was no interest in the ACU Trials Forum because people believe that the ACU Trials and Enduro Committee don't take any notice of what is said at these forums and just do what they want. I believe that nobody wanted to come to the forum because the vast majority of you are happy with the sport we help to promote. It was also sugested that we could hold the forum over the Tials Central web site rather than make everybody travel to Rugby. I am a member of the T&E Committee and I resent the opinion that we are a bunch of megalomaniacs who dont listen. I don't expect anyone to tell us they are happy with us,that never happens, but if you have any specific comments about the way we handle the sport please post them here. Please remember that this includes everyone from 6years old to pre 65 riders, not just the British Championship. We know there are some issues with ladies trials and we are working on those I look forward to your comments Mick Wren
