    Ty250a

Try this one but the mikuni's are better http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=190283307069 Dave
  4. Put a dab of arc weld to stop the sprocket moving but only a dab which you can easily grind off to remove when/if you get another crank. The bike will be rev'ier as its missing one of the weights but it should be OK to use Dave
  5. Best check my bolts as i have just hauled a husqvarna te610 on mine and a xt600 last month Dave
  6. I doubt you could change the crankshaft as its greeves own unless they copied it Dave
  7. The bolts on a std towbar is an integral fitment on the cooper style rack and the only way to use a swan neck would need a lot of modifying and may not be strong enough as they mostly are only slipped in and held with a single bolt, it would be a lot easier to change your towbar also cheaper as a bike falling off at 70mph would be rather costly and pee you off a bit and the driver behind!!! Dave
  8. Just looked at greeves website and the engine is british made and seems of very good quality components so the best of luck to a british company and hope they sell by the hundreds Dave
  9. Yes i meant anglian as ford made the anglia , just thought i would correct this before i get lambasted!!!!! Dave
  10. Where is the engine manufactured? and if its chinese then the price is waaay too high thou i do support british products and have had many greeves over the years eg hawkstone, anglia, challenger and pathfinder Dave
  11. I always wear thin leather gloves for grip and the odd blackthorn protection Dave
  12. Yes thats the theory and is easily done as long as the rim isn't physically dented. You must let the air out of the tyre first and if its a small buckle you may be able to straighten it on the bike. The inner spokes that L shape towards the hub centre control the ovality of the wheel and the outer spokes with L shape outwards do the trueing of the rim Dave
  13. Change your towbar to the bolt on type as this is what the cooper bar is designed for as the bolts go thru the cooper mounting square bar and onto your towbar frame Dave
  14. I use Dave Cooper rack all the time also with a trailer if i'm carrying 4 bikes and i have had a husqvarna TE610, xt600,xt350,ts250x,cb360 and numerous other small trail bikes on it , thou not recommended by Dave Cooper but it carried them on my citroen xantia estate without a problem but i also strap the heavier bikes from the roof also to give them more support Dave
  15. You cant go wrong at that price (famous last words!!!!) Dave
  16. Just put a join into the black wire going to the coil and earth to handlebars via button Dave
  17. You cant loose at that price , just check on ebay and the 349 is a great bike thou i sold my one and kept my 348 as the 349 was a bit grunty for slow trial work. Easy enough to split the engine just watch out for the gearbox spacer washers dont slip out. Dave
  18. Nice looking bikes!!! theymake my latest edition look rather scruffy , thou it is but runs rather nicely Dave http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160309486913
  19. Thanks for the quick answer, this stand seems to fit quite well and would i be correct in it being a ty250D from around 1977, the frame no is 493 201092. Dave
  20. Just purchased this old girl off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160309486913 and its a nice little runner after de-seizing the throttle valve and carb clean etc but my question is why does a 493 ty have a S bend type stand instead of the straight type ? Dave
  21. I tried that and i just got de-fault on the contact us page Dave
  22. Hi, does anyone know where (in the UK ) I can get new headstock bearing races from for a silver engined 250, it had the dynotape frame number many moons ago but that fell off about 25 years ago. Can i use taper bearings ? and does anyone know the size ? cheers Dave
  23. Chainguards are a legal requirement for road use only if its a twinseater and has rear footrests , single seaters do not require a guard for MOT purposes Dave
