Hi all
I've just had my rear drum relined and have the correct material ie a piston liner and will be able to supply the correct sleeve, all that needs to be done is drum skimmed, and sleeve machined to size anyone interested let me know ,will save you the hassle of trying to find pipe or brske discs ect.
-
Hi all could someone give me the dimensions for the brake drum insert,I believe cast iron pipe is used?
TIA.
-
Hmm seems like it found its way in to the box thanks for replys guys will proceed with build.π

Hi all Been chatting with a pal in our local bike club and he can line my drums on his lathe as it can take a 21jnch wheel,so tyres off and good to go.
-
Hi all I have the dreaded chrome drums on my 199b and need to fit some cast inserts, are there some available or is it a case of making some out of cast pipe ect.
-
Hi, yes I can get the gear from Inmotion. Around Β£80
-
Hi all any bultaco engine experts locally in the Cotswolds as I need to replace a gear in the g/box.
-
Hi all just wondering can the oil in the clutch migrate through the clutch rod tunnel, seem to have a bad leak on the left casing, doesn't seem to be the primary gear oil seal, although it is in that area maybe a seal /o ring missing somewhere along the line. π€π¬π§
-
Thanks buddy, mines knackered so just the drum/hub would be OK and my pal is going to refurb it. ππ¬π§
-
Hi all looking for a 199b rear brake drum, not bothered about condition, will refurb.
Cheers

I suppose as long as the 'stack height' is the same as a full set of steels, should be good to go.
-
Hi all thanks for the comments, when I bought this bike it was modified quite a bit, so trying to put things right, the clutch basket nut was loose, all parts are there 2 balls, rod, mushroom, bearing not sure if there was a 'washer' in there, if not where does it belong, was thinking of a fibre clutch, obviously less plates but thicker I'm assuming.
-
Hi buddy thanks for the reply, the bearing is fitted to the mushroom, not sure if balls are correct size. Some measurements would be great. π

Hi all just returning a heavily modified 199b back to original and seem to have a clutch problem, first off the clutch arm has been extended (more throw, lighter action maybe) and also with both balls and rod in position to set up centre adjuster I screw in to just touch top hat and back out 1/4 turn, but it only leaves about 3 threads on centre pin, not good, I'm thinking the rod is too short maybe, I would like to see some threads above nut face at least, any measurements would be helpful, clutch is operating OK, or maybe a problem at the lever sideπ€
Cheers.

Hi all when I have a bought this bike the side panels were held on with wiring grommets have now got the correct ones, silly question, which way do they fit seems they can go both waysπ€
