  6. Not just a Honda but chassie geomtr improvements seems to be nice from looking at pics: TLR http://www.flickr.com/photos/70366351@N00/2880053056/ Fantic 240 Special http://www.thetwinshockshop.co.uk/bikes.php Puma Racing Sherpa http://www.flickr.com/photos/70366351@N00/2910344640/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/70366351@N00/2880043228/ Montesa 247 de Jose Luis Rodriguez (Mr Puma Racing) http://www.flickr.com/photos/70366351@N00/3654146615/ Bultaco & Ossa at the middle of this page, bikes of the year in my opinoin http://montesakingscorpion.blogspot.com/20...ores-en-el.htmlB Bultaco alone http://www.flickr.com/photos/70366351@N00/3654145849/ Sorry for answering on this OT posting, but postings about "std trials bikes status as bought from a dealer" are due to non issues as I see it -its motorsport competition equipment and rider status stands for 80-85% of final results. Murray, Definatley odd to set up those kind of rules now because; nationals or WTC have never had regs against bike improvements..regarding weight red, chassie geomtr, susp- or brakes improv, NOT TODAY or not 35y ago..(for classic trials comp, manufacturing year of replacement parts is easy to define and accept or not) Collectors eg a Norton Manx in the living room is an other topic.. Yes its big difference today in matter what can be accomplished by skilled workshops/engineering and is available for lot more people, nothing is impossible to manufactor/improve. note: inovative solutions for motorsport in general is in fact not a new thing, google around and search for RoadRacing engineering from late 50`mid 60

    Yz Clutchcase On Ty

Hi Ducman, Got the same idea when I did saw pics of nice all black TY125, 175? chrome stickers. Nice YZ pics here: http://yz125x.blogspot.com/ I have started a slomo rebuild of a 175 (4 barrel studs 1975?) Mapping now all OEM part no..before research for improved replacement parts.. It might be so that Wis do not offer dyke styles, not that importartant for trials even though std at moderns. BR, Pat

    Oko24

A question for you who running the nice OKO24..with "power jet".. How lean do you think its possible to go on pilot for eg TLR200, 250 with std air box? For my BSA Im running 35 (will test 30 or 32), middle pos, 1.5 t (actually ..std jetting out of the box and have not tested Keihin trials needle yet..) She
  15. Because of advice from a successful RR rider/classic trials rider who uses old school mag, I did decide to stay with my BTH and order a overhaul from Mick Hall instead of go for a mag with modern curve. First class overhaul, thanks Mick. http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu54/pa...verhaul2009.jpg Air box and oil tank left http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu54/pa...xandoiltank.jpg Air box and oil right http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu54/pa...nkandairbox.jpg

  17. I do respect that engien character for trials could be a matter of taste. Replacing the TK on my TYR with a flatslide made major improvement (toghter with a proper reedcage design), offers more adeqate jetting, much better responce, more adeqate flow, mix air/fuel, idle adj, more torq and a WIDER power band not moved. Eg, with same gearing I almost can use the 2
  18. ausy, It would be nice if someone could be convinced to cast a batch of these engine parts ... http://www.mijossi.com/3ty/dossier/ty239.html flatslide 26/175cc or 28/180-239cc would probably work perfect and an adequate reedcage on top of the improvement. Cheers,

    Ossa Gripper

Furse and ausy, The comments Ive heard are that OSSA chassie offer best in class handling amongs Pre-72, and if not splitting T/S by years, Gripper, Cota242 and Cota330. T/S engines; all Fantics AC 240->!! ausy your comp Ossa verses TLR should be clarified more often, yes Honda is bullet proof Honda, but this TLR price riot we see these days is unhealthy, yes those HRC tuned RS or TLR bikes from domestic teams. TL or TLR, Reflex sold to Joe Public, no. Dont get me wrong, Honda togheter with an other car brand from the same country are share the position industrial best in class all categories in my book.
  22. Hello Ross, Its a tube- , compr air- and tyreless rim.... Cheers,

  25. Hi, Will ask if any of you know if LB30-35 springs for Betor shocks are available, progressive like LB40-50. Have sent a question John Cane..who offered shocks bargin last year (~1500g lighter than Girling pair) seems to work ok as new. Let say Betor work/refilled ok for 2-3 seasons then it might be motivated to order Falcon ally and cut an other 1000g.. Special order from spring suppliers is always an option....:-) Cheers,
