All timing would be based off crankshaft sensor I suppose, as I have never worked on t Mont.
If you suspect a stuck open injector causing flooding it may be possible to attach the hose end of a handheld vacume pump to the nozzle end of the injector. It should hold vacume if the injector is closing as it should.

I rode a 4T Sherco prior to the SPS and it worked pretty well, however I think they still used a different atomizer tube on them. The SPS carbs became available to change them out but I am not sure it is practical to convert one.
