  1. You are doing well. Pity you are gonna scratch up that beautiful bike! Just takes time. Learn to ride squatted, this way you can load and unload the suspension on demand. Learn to steer with the feet! Peg pressure and/ or a quick jab will move the bike under you quickly! Bars for fine tuning. Get that clutch finger into shape! A quick dip and pop can save you. So can slipping to control power application. Try riding an easy section a gear too high forcing you to use it, then go up another! That front brake on the skinny tire is 90% of your stopping power downhill.. Get them arms straight and butt on the fender! Control momentum! Most of us loose the bark busters to avoid broken wrists! Hit the boulders/ logs in the middle with the front wheel. This will propel the front UP to clear the skidplate! Have fun and get a riding buddy!
  2. Kuntry rules! https://youtu.be/JYZMT8otKdI
  3. Not sure if Vevo will block this in UK. I got a girl crush. Little Big Town. SULTRY!
  4. There is a 12 V regulator in the system, but them lights don't produce much anyway. I have not run them in years, but as I recall the lamp would dim with the fan on, as it consumes a lot of the available power. The fans usually vary speed a bit with rpm. A voltage ck would be good perhaps, as a faulty regulator can take the voltage down to both..
  5. Seems bass akwards but it all has to do with decreased air density and the ability to suck in fuel.
  6. Likely needs the stator plate rebuild/repair. look up Bradford ignitions/ motoplat uk, or contact Splatshop to inquire about an exchange one.
  7. Standard Kiehin sea level jetting is 45/125 range. I would not normally expect changes needed below 3000 ft. other than airscrew adjustment. Ck to see what you have in there first! At higher altitudes, things can get a bit different, so a change to say a 48/50 pilot may be a good tradeoff for you, yet a lot of this may vary bike to bike even, and with that wide range of altitude you may have to find the balance.
  8. Stay within 5 miles or so on fuel burn till you get an estimate. 3 quarts don't last if running hard. Thin trials gloves work well, or Mechanix ones in the cheap. Good tactile feedback on the clutch and brake is important, one finger on each all times. I run knee braces, but patella cup and elbows are done with youth sized smaller ones on the outside. Specially on the rocks!
  9. Dellorto jetting is different at 36/120 range. On the Kiehin, standard sea level jetting will be more in the 45/125 range. Riding at that altitude you will likely need to go to 48-50 range on the pilot and 52 is not out of the question but it does sound as if your airscrew is out a bit much. Trials bikes simply do not rev like an endure bike. The have about ten times more flywheel mass that stores energy. Totally different power management since you can rev and then coast over things never loosing traction. Wheelspin does not occur with throttle shut! You are learning!
  10. Insure there is free play in the pedal linkage so the MC piston may return fully and allow backflow of fluid as it heats up and expands. A damaged outer seal on the MC may allow mud/ dirt to pack up in there and block the piston travel as well.
  11. I you have a good working Dellorto I would use it. You simply do not need a high performance carb at this point. The Dell is a lot less finiky and just works. Jetting about 36-38/ and 118 range. Fuel trim screw at 2.5-3.5 turn out, needle 3rd notch down. If you ordered the later airbox and hose, the reducer adapter is required for the Dell inlet side smaller size. In your pics above, the float height looks too low(high in the pic). That level in relation to the center pedestal is where the float should rest when just toutching the needle spring with carb held at 45 deg angle. and NO spring compression. You do not set these w/ inverted. Diffusor should not fall out. Something major wrong or broken there. I never remove them, but I believe they go in and are retained from the bottom. Should only extend about 1.5- 2mm into the bore. If you just must have a Kiehin, PM me as I have one little use I will send you on the cheap, already modded w/ dual bowl vents.

    New Gg.

May be time for one of them fancy Scorpas like Gary Mac.
  13. Premium pump gas works fine since our 91 octane(R+M/2) rating is similar to the euro spec 98(RON). Service info is here http://www.shercousa.com/?action=9 other stuff here http://www.shercousa.com/?action=6 Replace plug at first signs of hard starting and run full synthetic at 80/1 or less to help prevent gunking up the muffler.
  14. Rick, I have not heard from Alan in a coon's age. You might try calling Catherine at TTC (423) 942-8688 for contact info. Mark
  15. Good, you found some help. At least that bike is not going to be quite as perky there as it would be closer to sea level.
  16. Check the jetting then, should be around 45/125. A 28 Kiehin is larger than the stock 26, and even though the carb works fine, it may be a tad on the large size for 250 when doing quick "whack" opens of the throttle. Do you ride like that? No, then no issue!

    A 2015 Bultaco

Does that cost as much as the one With the motor?
  18. I hope the A/C works in that cabin!
  19. Trials is a skills game. Your experience will help only to a certain extent. You only have four contact points with the bike, and you basically need to stay centered and let it move under you. You also need to learn to ride with one finger on the clutch and front brake. The clutch is your bailout tool. Have some fun and ride!
  20. Are they putting the Kiehin on the 250 now?
  21. It does apply to you if you crash hard enough!

    Dealer Inventory

I seen whrer Lewisport had some.
  23. We may need to hook you up with Chuck Moline. Great guy! He has some enduro interests as well. That is a nice bike, but you may wind up detuning it a bit so it does not put you on your ass soo quickly! I'll see if I can find his email.

    Sherco Id

I think that would be an "06 125, unless it was an early build "07 put together in "06 as many are.. "07 had Fat Bars! I believe.
  25. Pity, it is all about Jordi, I think. Frankly I was somewhat surprised to see the bike did not take off better than it did as the ultimate Gasser, and with much following! Now on to another project! Dougie? Well then, another story!
