  1. Still in the test phase, they even repel dirt and mud, unlike my backside!
  2. Buy a REAL truck, you twit! If your tail swings youare GAY! Only Jeep guys do that! Then (and only then) is it not GAY! Just call it Redneck Hillbilly Heaven! Where you go to RELAX! If you will notice, Al has NOT consumed that stuff, just added to it!
  3. Thanks all, That AVID may be the way to go as the others cost more than the bike! Nice stuff, but I am not so sure that I enjoy pedal power , yet!
  4. Then there is the modified progressive alum. slow but quick!
  5. Back the front damper screw all the way out and screw the rear shock screw in to just past half way in the range(about 9 clicks) and turn the rear spring preload up to where there is no more than 20-30 mm static sag(weight of the bike only). Then drop the forks in the clamps to at least the first groove. That should give you a good start i think.
  6. So where is the best place to get the kit for a front disk, on a bike that is fitted for it, but not equipped? What do they cost?
  7. Try a 33/118 set, clip 3rd groove down and 2 3/4 turns out on the screw.
  8. Dabnabit, To be honest, I don't even remember what my good computer has????? It's about a two year old midline Dell running XP home, with a CD burner, it has S-T-E-R-E-O!!!!!! The old 766 in the shed has recieved enough memory upgrade to run the XP too and works pretty good for stuff like this! The FIOS wireless high speed setup is the latest addition at home, works good after being on dialup for over a decade!! Then I have several computers at work that I have to maintain running 2000. Firewire! I like that thought, may have to track down one of those Panasonic things and use my Circuit City giftcard!
  9. Of course, I flew out to Phoenix a few years ago to bring a small aircraft back to Texas. Conditions were crap as it was rain and fog. When they extended the rain forecast for a week, I just came back on a Southwest! They said they had never seen that much rain either!
  10. WTF is THAT? In a simpler question, what do I need to do to get all my old(family) tapes, and mini DV up to a Keepable standard? Should I just buy a DVD recorder for the video system? Or upgrade the computer? Is DVD here to stay, and which recording format is best? + - i do not get it.
  11. Unfortunatly, you do need some heat in the motor for it to perform properly. Specially in winter, when they cool down quickly while walking a section! Also depends upon which one of my "friends" is behind me when I rev the crap out of it!
  12. Nice bike, lots of POWER! See my tips in the Sherco forum if you find it to bee too much. Read the tips on the RYP side and ALWAYS ck the filter/airbox for water after washing the bike. Or better yet, just pull the two screws, remove the fender and stuff a rag in it to prevent water entry, then wash it. One more screw and the tank is off so you can clean everything. Sherco's are the easiest bikes to maintain. I usually start at 35/120 on the jetting. Your mileage may vary! Enjoy your new ride!

    Which Sherco?

Once again, the 2.5 may be initially snappier, but it responds better to a bit of taming. With a re set of the timing and the Boyesen reeds, it totally changes the bikes power to smooth and predictable. Cost about 20 of your quid things. And you can set it back later on! You can only tame a 2.9 soo much! Why, you ask, because it has a LARGER MOTOR! DUH! Which bike is in better condition? That is the question as well?
  14. Is it the first time you have seen it, snow that is? Is it the first time you have seen it, snow that is?
  15. Yes it will, with your gear, and dog, and kitcken sink on your back!
  16. Talk about me brown nosing! Maybe Mich will pay you back if you spring for his membership!
  17. There is a new shock available made by Jitsie, find a local dealer and thay should be able to help. Supposed to be quite good!
  18. We have a new type of speed control now that will automatically adjust the electronic throttle, or brakes, to follow another vehicle while you are talking on your cell phone! I am almost certain it will reduce the throttle when it sees the upcoming DITCH! You hit SOFTLY! Not sure they offer that on Scoobys!
  19. I like the idea myself. Imbedded into a CF front plate, these could be wicked! I often ride till dark! Have often wished I had the stocker!
  20. Found this tidbit. You could run 2, 6V/ 5W halogen lamps in series, or 1, 12V 10W! Or perhaps 2, 12V 5W in parallel! With two, you could look like a 747 coming into the section! http://lightbulbsdirect.com/Merchant2/merc...gory_Code=MR-11 linky
  21. a 50/50 DILUTION OF MURATIC(SWIMMING POOL) ACID AND WATER WILL DISSOLVE THE ALUMINUM. aDD ACID TO WATER, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, Oops, caps lock!
  22. That is it! Follows the lines and makes the arm look sleek, but that is as far as I shall carry them I think. Should serve the purpose! Off to the Laser with them!
  23. I could not help but check what (watts) my original lamp was. Surprised to find a 5 watt peanut. With elimination of the stop lamp and tail lamp, you should be able to increase that to 10 watts, possibly even a halogen lamp, without killing the ignition when you turn the light on! Best I can tell, there is no separate lighting coil on this setup, one power source runs everything!
  24. Never seen a thing Billy, I was down the bottom the whole time with never a chance to pee!
