  1. I'll have you know, I've only fallen off twice(this month)! Good thing I saved Ryan's bike. He would be peed!
  2. I have had a black Hebo for some 5 odd years. It has been a good one! Removeable liner is nice and can be used as a vest!
  3. As I recall, that is the standard (stock)position. You need to move it it the 6-8mm distance which is about half way in the slot as I recall, this equates to somewhere around 1.25-1.50 deg btc, but don;t worry with that as the angular distance changes the closer you get toTDC. Another easy way, if your bike has the line stamped into the stator plate that are factory aligned with the right edge of the case web top casting, move that mark to the center, where the bolt goes! I've already done the experimentation!
  4. 1mm on the stator plate is insignifigant. Rotate the plate 6-8mm counterclockwise from the stock setting and lock it down. More than that and the bike will run oddly. You may need to richen mixture screw(outward) as well.(don't ask me why) depends on your jetting.(#35 works here) and set the idle up just a tad. It will smooth the power, make for easier starting and less prone to stalling at low revs and still have good power. Hope that helps!

    '04 Sherco 290

The Sherco is a great bike if well kept. Don't let a few normal scratches put you off as these things will happen. For a new rider the Sherco 2.9 is pretty aggressive in stock trim, but a few simple mods such as a slow throttle and re setting the ignition timing makes things much more manageable. There is a CHERRY '04 Mont for sale here in Texas! But it costs more! They are becoming somewhat rare!
  6. So did Atom go BLACK, or did he go back?
  7. I have not heard of such, maybe you should get the dealer to inspect it to determine a possible cause such as water entry or a defect in the plating. Measurements need to be taken as well to determine wear on the bore and piston.
  8. Mine gets half way through and locks up and gets real jerky! Looks just like Clive in TN! Just kidding! Thanks Clive!
  9. If you cannot obtain propre gearbol oil try a 50/50 mix of Mobile 1 10-30car engine oil and Mobile 1 synthetic ATF. 450cc in the box!

    Beta 200 Tips?

Yea, pt the black fenders and ' 06 stickers on it and buy all the BLING stuff you can afford from Lewisport and Beta USA! Great bike! Enjoy!
  11. The holes can be a problem when washing the bike but not normally when riding unless you are using it as a submarine!
  12. I think what he is trying to say is that just because the clock strikes 12' on your birthday does not mean that you are going to wake up the next morning saying "I feel like kicking Dougie's ass"! or "Maybe I'll just pee on Adam's boots! Then kick Caby in the nackers!" I think you have to hit the ripe old of 40 as least before you wake up feeling like Heath(R2w), just look as poor Barry! Poorlad can't even give someone like Bou the proper finger!

    06 Or 07

I did not find much difference, but I kind of like the fat bars! Nige, if they improved the 1.25 much , the kids on the Gassers are in trouble!
  14. Here at about 700 ft(250m) above sea level, I run a 35/118 setup with the needle 3rd down from top(Dellorto). Adjust the mix screw every ride upon temps. Have not put the Kiehin on the '06, but the same basics should apply. Needs to be set for the Sherco with around 45/125 in the jets and JJH needle as I recall. May try an "07 with it before long. Hope that helps.
  15. One point I was trying to make was on the 125 4T's. I'm just not convinced it will work in any sort of upper level competition. They would need to inject them with HELIUM to make them perform with the 2T bikes!
  16. I believe the Gasser is still in develpoment, but the roumour of the flat head design somes from upon high! Of course things could change before we see it released. Seems a very workable approach to me. Larger displacement and lower rpm! I just cannot see the need for 15,000 revs and five valves in a trials motor.
  17. Yes I have ridden all so far, good and bad within the lot, but one thing is for sure, a carburator has its limitations, specially on a four stroke, it is simple physics, and has all been done before. You will not be able to ride it like a 2T, end of story! It will spit at you, and at the worst moment! 250 cc will work for the average rider, which may just be the 200cc = of the 2T which most need anyway, but Sherco and Honda both figured out early on that it would not work in WTC competition. Scorpa has already proven that it takes 150cc in a 4T to really make the bike move! Roumours have it that the Gasser 4T will have a flat head motor, not sure the displacement, I would be willing to bet it will be close to 300cc, but you can bet it will be compact! Will the additional cost of fuel injection be worth it? It may take all the rest(GG, She, Bet and Sco) getting together to get Bosch or someone to build a system that they can sell enough to be cost effective for all! Make your own MAP! Or else we may all be stuck in the '70's! Just my thoughts,
  18. So Andy, in the quiz about your hobby's you never told if that was actually you in the hillclimbing event! Your name for sure showed up! ps- when do we do renewals on the supporter thing, as I have no idea when it expires?
  19. I'll bet it would even stay on all four and continue to run over your ass time and time again if you fell off!
  20. There seems to be an obvious solution to a complex problem here. There are many variables that may all result in the same solution, RIDE WHAT YOU BRUNG AND RIDE IT WELL, IT WILL WORK! (if you know how to use it)
  21. Clive, are you set up on paypal? PM me!!
