  3. Did they spell your name correctly? Shut up your whining, the guy who does them has a drinking problem, but works cheap!
  4. Roumors, lot of them! Geoff to Montesa! Bruce to GG! Brent on the RYP Scorpa! Chris on the Beta! Mind boggling!
  5. Phil, there is also a little motel in Langley called the Pat Cliff 918-782-3850 they have a big double room there if it is not taken, so maybe you won't have to sleep with Craig!
  6. That Does It! If David cannot make it, i'm riding the Pro class in the 1.25! Hell, last place pays $100 or something! On second thought, one of them Mizell kids may move up to beat me!

    '07 Sherco

Well, do you find it much different?
  8. Could not get a nibble! Oh well!
  9. I have owned two 2.9's '01 and '03, great bikes, LOTS of power! My '05 bike was a 2.5 which was quite snappy and not a lot different than the 2.9's to begin with, but lent itself much better to the smoothing effects of the Boyesen reeds and slightly reduced ignition timing to settle it quite nicely. I am therefore opting for another 2.5 as soon as it becomes available. We shall see how the '07 bikes are tuned, as they seem to be coming equipped with the shorter header pipe once again, which was more aggressive in the power. Having ridden the '06 2.9 they did smooth the low end power nicely, but it will still pull your arms out of the sockets! I just think the 2.5 is more versitle than the larger displacement bike, as with minor changes you can tune it to suit. Out of the box, the Shercos do seem more agressive than the Beta's, each having its own traits!
  10. Sam, as I recall, all the afternoon riders start at the same time with exibition sections for the champ/pro class on Saturday late! They are scored here as well. And yes Barry it is the real thing. And if it is true that Dale is flying Chris in for the event, then it must also be true that Geoff is not going to make the trip, logic dictates, and if there is something going on in the Montesa camp(finally) anyone who knows(Barry) has not said! Probably expect 120 or more riders total! Note to self, bring beer! Wash the 125! BTW Craig, the classes in OK are: Rookie, Novice, Amature Sr Ama. Then : afternoon Intermediate, Expert, Champ/Pro Sr Expert(where you fall) rides the INT line mostly with maybe some easier expert sections. as I recall. There is no Advanced BS class that you ride with 1 point for the day.
  11. Sounds like a SHERCO SWEEP in the making! The REAL show may be Craig on the intermediate line in OK! Good luck on the "clean" day!
  12. As Al mentioned, the bowl vent lines can certainly cause this. I have a special vent hose system that I have developed for the Dellorty that utilizes a specially treated ion resistant material which minimizes the surface tension of the fuel bubbles in the lines that can create a vacume in the float chamber yet still prevents water entry. Comes as a kit with the special high flow super fuel supply line!
  13. Nige, is that the one with the remote sensor that fits your shoe??? Pointing UP!

    Fives

From NATC rules, Yea, you're wrong (again), as the "machine" extends beyond the rear axle. I usually find myself "behind the machine" in the mental sense!
  15. FWIW(for what it's worth) IMHO(in my humble opinion) You have to get off your ass and show up first! Your dad did, what, sr70 class in the nationals and you did'nt ride at all? The baseline for the Nationals is that you need to be a good and competant rider of at least intermediate levels in most club level events. You can do that! You are a decent rider and there is probably nothing on the support line that will kill you, although you may kill yourself! The regionals are there too! Which include all classes! You just gotta go ride! Those who want to go, will go, and the others will stick with their local events and clubs. Simple as that! Consistancy in classes and difficulty levels on a national basis it the current goal! Which is another topic!
  16. And now HL! Know what's missing between the H and L? You will find out soon I think! What the EL was that for!
  17. I must admit that you aroused my quriousity as I have not checked out the latest SLR's in several years. The place I went to no longer carries the D50, only 70-80 at the lower end. Looked at the Canon's too! Some a bit smaller in the body. Nice stuff and gets quite pricey with a good lens!(lenses) One major factor/obsticle! Wont fit the bum bag! And if I go that big I would feel like a pack mule when riding. And at that cost I would have to buy the insurance if I landed upon it! Oh well! I just go back to that piccie that Heath took of Barry with the Fuji! It WORKS!
  18. John, I must commend you on your article. That took a lot of thought and hard work! My brain hurts now!

  23. The NEOTT Central Regional BIG MONEY EVENT OF THE YEAR at Langley/Disney OK may be the last time you see a couple of the best riders in the US and the World in competition! There may well be quite a few of the top riders show up for this one, but It is confirmed that Sherco rider David Chaves has accepted a position with the Sherco factory in Spain and intends to make a trip back to ride this event and take care of a few things. This may well be the last time we see him here, if not for a while! David is also doing a Friday Oct. 20 th afternoon school prior to the event! Contact me or RLRacer if interisted! There is also another fellow named Geoff that has won more National Titles than anyone in the history of the sport! It was confirmed that he is coming too! To what is (roumoured) may well be his final National/Regional event! EVER! We shall see! I think maybe this has been planned for a while and I certainly want to thank and congratulate him for his leadership on our TDN team this year! With any luck, I'll be there to do it in person! (shut up Mich!) The beauty thing about the Centrals is that there are morning/afternoon events for riders of ALL levels so everyone gets to ride! And then watch some of the best around! Everyone is invited! Cheers,
  24. I will tell you that I am able to place the Fuji in a small padded bum bag along with a spare set of rechargeables! It is all relative to size and cost! Some of the compact types work very well also! Not sure the size of the Nikon, but the cost of replacing it is a factor if I happen to land on it! The Fuji's are available for under 300US now, which should buy you a camera, memory card, bum bag and batteries for under or near 200 of your quid thingies! All things to consider, but mostly, I find it all to be a trade off, and yes there are better cameras for more dash. How much is in your wallet?
