  1. Another thought...did he keep the same needle/slide and just swap the carbs?
  2. Does it run? Or backfire? It could be valve timing or he could have a hung up valve and it's pressurizing the carb.
  3. Sorry about that....With a little work they fit well even with the front bolts. http://www.buycableties.com/product/35/7_i...50lb_cable_ties
  4. I have an 09 Evo. With the exception of the front bolt I took my fender bolts out and just use wire ties to hold the fender on. This gives the fender a little more flex and helps to prevents cracking. If do bail hard enough to break a wire tie, I simply replace with another tie. I keep about a dozen wire ties, wire tied to my bikes rear brake hose so replacing them is easy. I replace the front bolt with one thats a little longer and use a rubber washer. This helps a bit with the flexibility of the plastics. As for the vents in the fender. I used aluminum tape, applied to the underneath on the rear vents to keep water out. Theres still plenty of airflow from the fronts. The screen is held in place with glue from a hot glue gun. I had to repair that once last year.
  5. I would throw them on the charger overnight before using again. You won't overcharge the batteries. They need that 1st big charge. As for bar ends....you can use bicycle bar ends. The brake lever I also replaced with higher quality aluminum bicycle levers. They work better and were adjustable.
  6. Get this book....I don't follow Paleo to the T but take a bit from it here and there. I still eat a lot of veggies but no processed foods or pastas. http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=FUV15a7...utput=html_text
  7. Funny, I was going to say the same thing. It truly works.
  8. This is a fantastic read. A bit long but worth it. http://www.dirt-bike-tips-and-pics.com/fut...wo-strokes.html
  9. Yeah I got the same email but figured it would be better to allow Cody and GG make an official announcement.
  10. I think so too but I'm cool with it. I actually wish more big names would come out and socialize with us commoners. We would all jump around like schoolgirls if Bou popped on here to tell us what he's done the past few years.

    Exhaust Clean Out

I just drop about 10 inches of jack chain in, cover both ends and shake away. It works fine. I hear people also using bicycle chain.
  12. What's the trials bike scene like in Britain? Here in the states it's not very popular unfortunetly. In think we only have one event a year and the winner of that is the champ. I also think Pat maybe the champ right now....not sure. I have a 24" DMR that I have setup for trials. I'm not very good. Can't even do a pedal kick but I have fun plonking around on the small stuff. Danny, you got any videos out?
  13. Read the thread I linked below before you decide you want a knee brace. Personally, I had my knee fully reconstructed a little over a year ago and I will not wear one. I would rather injure my knee again that face event the possibility of a broke femur. I am quoting someone else on here, the best knee brace is the one you were born with. Strengthen up your leg muscles. Get the quad, hammy and calf muscles working. For me that alone has improved my knee function and I feel stronger than ever. TT Knee Brace Discussion
  14. I don't believe that shock is repairable.

    Evo Fork Spring

I'm kinda confused now. I just had my stock spring rate checked and it came in at .69. The good news is he gave me a bunch of springs to test with.

    Evo Fork Spring

That would be great... Yes I did get the spring from Scott. It's the medium weight spring that goes up to 225#'s. I weigh about 220.

    Evo Fork Spring

Liviob, I already replaced the rear with a heavier spring. I weigh 220 and cannot even get the sag right. Can you please tell me where you got the spring? You'll make my Christmas!

    Evo Fork Spring

Thanks for the suggestion but that would only change pre-load. Which affects ride height and initial spring tension not spring rate.
  19. TC member Firstgear makes them for the Beta's. I have one on my bike and made a big difference. I'm not positive but I believe the 07 Shercos shortened their swingarm and stiffened the spring. I believe the spring was a red one.

    Evo Fork Spring

Anyone know of where I can get a stiffer (10% or so) fork spring for an 09 Evo 290? I'm located in the US but would apprciate a lead from anywhere. Thanks.....
  21. Kind of a shame because it looks like it would be a heck of a helmet for trials. Maybe its time for rewording those rules to just exclude certain types of helmets and not specify it has to be a motorcycle helmet. Actually do helmets say they are of the "motorcycle type"?
