  1. Presumeably not an Armac, but interesting all the same. Is this still in action? Snapped at the Reeth in 03. Btw was looking at Mick Grants cub last w/end, very neat & slim , and quite posibly an Armac? There were also some Otter framed cubs there too.

  3. Regs are out for the Aveyron 4 day. 5-8 May, starts in St.Geniez d'Olt, Dept 12. Def one of the best French trials over some serious rockery, super senic route, fuel lorry & lunch grub provided. The bar is ten feet from the last section ends... I've ridden it twice & have some regs here. Or contact Moto Club 12 Chez Brice Saint-Pierre Route de Severac 12150 Lapanouse France tel. 062101 5445 Note no email, fax or web for Moto Club 12 Some photos from last years bash can be seen in my photo album If you want more info email mike@motomerlin.co.uk
  4. I've ridden the Easter 3 day a few times, but can't make it this year. Its very well organised. & yes check your lights - they need to work... There is no real time prob & sections are usually easier than the other French 4/5 day trials. BTW I've received regs for the Aveyron 4 day - 5 - 8 May
  5. go to Eurosports web page. eurosport.com Check which Eurosport you get - European (free!) or British (pay the dirty digger!!) as they have different programming. 2 weeks showing. Also check their ceefax nearer time

    05 Front Fenders

Never broken a front on a Beta (cue snapping noise this Sunday...). Not noticed any 05 front beakages. Did manage to crack rear first time out on the 05. Nothing dramatic, just a soft low siding five. Here in UK I'd put this all down to the cold weather, and my astonishing riding skills.
  7. Heres my little brother enjoying a bit of freedom!
  8. Martin Clerch special parts as seen on Scottish trial web page. Has any one tried either the reeds or the cylinder head? Care to comment on their effect?
  9. I'm there, no idea what number though. Hope its a tad warmer than last year, that roadwork was freezing. And I hope I don't start with a five again.
  10. Check the listings................ Its 2100 on ES web. Ya wouldn't wanna missit
  11. And to get back to the subject.................. Monts belived the FIM when it said : In two years time only a rider of a four stroke will be able to be called World Champion. Apparently the other smaller factories objected & lobbied for more time. So another two years of ring dings then.
  12. 18.00 tomorrow & 22.15 on the old analogue (& still FREE!) sat. According to their Web page anyway..........
  13. Dates from FIM web. 3 days of Indre: Organizer: TC PAYS DE LA CHATRE FMN: FFM Track / Location: La Chatre Start: 26/03/2005 End: 28/03/2005 (Easter) Aveyron 4 day: Organizer: MC 12 FMN: FFM Track / Location: Saint Geniez d'Olt (dept 12) Start: 05/05/2005 End: 08/05/2005 - SSDT week - Creuse 4 days: : ATC ST CHRISTOPHE FMN: FFM Track / Location: Sardent Start: 14/07/2005 End: 17/07/2005 Verdon 4 days: Organizer: MC DE BOADE FMN: FFM Track / Location: Digne Start: 24/08/2005 End: 28/08/2005 Aveyron 3 days, Organizer: MC 12 FMN: FFM Track / Location: Entraygues Start: 11/11/2005 End: 13/11/2005 Yes thats November..........
  14. All have road work, so you need to be old enough & legal too....
  15. Ridden the Indre 3 day a few times over the years. Last year it was a bit later & weather was good. Can be chilly on the ride out to sections. The off road course is fast & easy , so you don't get warm. Sections are a bit easier than the other French Trials, for each route. Have to say the S1 route still looks scary/impressive to me............I'm on the S3 here & torn between S3 & Rand routes at the other events depending on how bad my memory is or how old I'm feeling.......... Indre uses a petrol tanker & the fuel cost is included in entry fee. There's no real time limit over the one big lap per day, so its a relaxing ride round with time for photos.
  16. S1 rock, Indre 04. Mighty Atom in action............
  17. @ Verdon - bikes checked in Parc Ferme, But you get 2 hours or so mechanicing time to work on bike & get your van. Later in the week start/finish distances are shorter & you could nip back on bike easily.
  18. French Trials: first one is Easter, 27 March or so. 3 days, easier than the others (easier coursework & sections) , less senic, but well worth riding. Near too. see: http://trial.lachatre.free.fr/ World round there in 2006. May/June (asension?) is the the Aveyron 4 day. Really great event, bit of a Gastro Trial! No official web page, but a short report here: http://ds.dial.pipex.com/merlinbooks/hrjuly03.html Also some pics in my TC photo album. As Jordi says, Verdon is the best of the lot, usually last week of August. Course can be tough & V.Hot.........but if you only ride once a year in France make sure it's here. See my web-babble here: http://ds.dial.pipex.com/merlinbooks/verdon02.html All above are better organised than the Creuse trial (IMHO) & the second two have more variety of course & sections. My plan is to get to all of these this year & I may be looking for riding buddies for La Chatre & Aveyron as the usual suspects are either wounded or bikeless.............
  19. It was my first visit to Sheffield...........so yes I was impressed. Was not impressed by the PA - where I was sitting 3 rows from the roof - it was a fuzzy noisey nuisance.[b
  20. If Dougie did what Fuji did we'd all call it brilliant tactics, using his head etc. Fact is time was tight on first lap.
