  1. can be found here: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/enduro/ Many English riders present, some did not go the full course. Why? Too hot? Too hard?
  2. Berlatier - is one of the Gas Gas importers for France & is usually seen riding the Verdon 5 day trial each year.
  3. Pamperas..........you'll want a Mk3, from
  4. the fiendish last section..
  5. I've uploaded some pics to the gallery - see hrc1 albums etc. Three Englishmen made the long trek, 600 miles across France, to this the second best French trial. The going was all rocks 95% of which had enormous grip that caused probs for those of us more used to the slippery stuff (loop city here I come!) . Each day is about 60 - 70 km with lots of off-road and 25 sections. Day 3 is the big ride out 110 km with three petrol stops. Lunchtime is a 1 hour stop with a 4 course nosh-up - which is fine until you reach the first section of the afternoons run.........All of us got caught with odd time marks, it was never tight on time, but you just had none spare. I attempted the Senior 3 route (with my usual half hearted commitment!) which is probably tougher here than the other French events. Lee H rode well for a day or two to end up about 14th on the same route. Harry R rode the easier "gentleman" class but still lost far more marks than he anticipated. Didn't see any final results - but you can be sure a Frenchman won the top Expert route. Jerome Bethune was leading on half the marks of rival Greg Eyries at the halfway stage. The organising club - Moto Club 12 - are running another 3 day in November on similar going a little to the north of this one which started from St Geniez d'Olt. Well worth a go.

..........or do you mean the non pick up van that has just become the old style because the new one has just been launched..... Yep, I've run one for 8 years & only fairly recently realised two bikes fit. Both go in backwards & near side bike needs rear mudguard removed. A bit fiddley but worthwhile for any trip with an overnight stay, otherwise I use a bike rack. Understand this can't be done with a std swb Transit Connect btw. You can fit 3 bikes in a Caddy, but then wheels have to be dropped.

    Small Vans

You can fit 2 trials bikes in a Vdub Caddy (old style versh). Just remove one rear mudguard..........
  9. Last year I rode the Verdon trial and Chris Bruand (Scorpa works rider) drew the short straw and was given the 125 for the 5 days. I noticed he reverted to 2smoke power for the indoor arena trial......... Several of us gave the 125 a fair test - ride round the car park in shorts n' flip flops - and concluded it had a sharp clutch & calling the power soft was being kind. Anyway, CB had a hydraulic clutch fitted with a small cable/slave that is prob straight from the 250. The slave on the hebo kit is much larger. CB rode the hardest route and was going well considering his mount, but was probably on 10 times his normal score. The Hard route there is pretty tough and mainly grippy rocks. His technique was to wind the 125 to the max at the begins card and modulate the "power" with the clutch. Unfortunately on about day 4 he fell on the run up to a large rock and smashed his face. So was out. Which was a pity as it was excellent to see him ride such challenging stuff on the 125.
  10. Oh yeah, like I was at this club trial last week end and I forgot to mention there was this rider showing off......... etc
  11. Don't try this at home & if you do - post the pic. From Motocrampons Mag
  12. black dot - thats max res....... I took several pics on that hill & thats the only one that caught the chopper. Taken on one of the higher sections at the Verdon trial 03.

  15. I've been talking to Powercraft about sourcing a batch of Titanium Fork Protectors. With tax, import duty, VAT & shipping they would sell for about
  16. Finally here is a famous lady rider failing an S2 section.
  17. Same section in 03 & our Mr Foord has less success. They gave no run up that yearso a jump was not possible.
  18. Pic from 02 showing Steve Foord on an S2 section
  19. S3 (Senior 3) is the route that requires no trick riding. if you ride S2 you need the ability to hop the bike fluently, also features bigger rocks with shorter run up. Would suit Novogar riders? I've ridden out there for 19 years now & only ever required a normal ACU licence. These days I find the other French trials a more interesting experience. The Creuse event has gone downhill since they stopped transporting your petrol and went over to 2 lap days. Dates of the French "classic" trials: 10/04/04 to 12/04/04 3 J DE TRIAL EN INDRE - LA CHATRE 20/05/04 to 23/05/04 LES 4 JOURS DE L`AVEYRON SAINT GENIEZ D`OLT D
  20. Which one? Creuse or Aveyron. Which route do you ride here & can you hop/bounce the bike about easily?

  22. This site is an electronic petition against Early Day Motion (EDM) 380 which was first put down on 8th January 2004 by John Mann: http://www.saveourbyways.org.uk/
  23. The government in threatening to close a large number of green lanes - this will drastically effect trailriding and will have a knock on effect on all the big trials events too, such as the Sammy Miller series & the ACU Classic series, in fact any event that uses green lanes to link up the sections. To safeguard your sport/hobby we all need to act now. Preston Kemp of www.MuddyStuff.co.uk has put together a useful campaign resource page here. http://www.muddystuff.co.uk/campaign/default.asp Please read and contact your MP ASAP. Check the links above and also please read the TRF action pack pdf file here. http://www.motomerlin.dsl.pipex.com/trfaction.pdf Thank you for taking the time to read this & responding.
