There is a really good 2 day trial being held on the 20th & 21st May 2012 by the bexleyheath & dmcc called battle of burwash. its on a open permit for all pre 65 classes in East sussex. toilets and food cattering and camping available to everyone. theres more details and regs on Motorbiketrials.com i know its a bit late but if you know anyone whos stuck for a trial to do that weekend we would love to see as many pre 65`s & twinshocks as possible all welcome.

Sorry about that jordi.. Being the first pre67 trial we have run and with the dreaded sidecars we were a bit unsure weather we could get everyone in and out of the same gates..next year we hope to run the trial over 2days depending on observers and yes, use the streams more.

Bexleyheath&DMCC presents BATTLE OF BURWASH May 21st & 22nd 2011 Pre 65 solo/ sidecar & twinshock championship 2 day trial..sponsered by Nicholas Motors Welling Open to all classes including pre 65 hard route and gentleman route Pre 65 solos/sidecars/2 stroke/Twinshocks/Aircooled mono. If you want to ride on a fantastic piece of land (72 acres) then this is the trial that you should pencil in your diary for every year. Situated in the beautiful East Sussex close to the famous Battle and not to far from Hastings it has easy access to the trial, just off of the A265 at Burwash common and easy link roads A21 & A22 from the M25. map and postcode TN218XA (this gets you on the right road just follow the signs from there)will be included and it will be well signposted from the main road. It also has ample parking for motor homes and tents ect so if you are coming for the weekend then all are welcome. I have told a bit of a porky to grab your attention in calling it a two day trial. The plan is, this being the first 4stroke and twinshock championship we have run we hope this will grow and word gets about then we can run this event every year and hopefully improve on the format. This year the idea is that we will be laying out 3 laps of 15 sections which will vary of different terrains rocks, streams, big banks ect, and on the Saturday at 12 0clock you can go out and practise on those marked out sections as much as you like. Look at it as a free practise and an advantage over the ones who don

what i found best was a set of very good conditioned bultaco forks. then brought a set of norton roadholder bottoms. turn down the bultaco legs on a lathe so they are a tight fit inside the norton sliders. you only leave a few mill on the bultaco sliders so be carefull.take your time. when you have done this i just glued the sliders together with aroldite or locktight adessive. then reasemble the forks and bolt straight through the bottom...job done. hope this helps.

Hello all Why do we have this so called pre 65 rule book which i hear quoted at every trial when clearly most of the bikes do not fit within the so called rules! Mcdonald cubs that do look the bizness and brand new dots that are 2010 made..how are they pre-65? frames are nothing like the originals front loops. there not meant to be altered are they. but all the trails i have been to recently the organisers havnt battered an eyelid. it seems ok to run these trick extra light engineering genious machines..but its not pre 65. How do the dots get into the scotish? there not pre 65/67. Am i loosing the plot bringing this up does anyone else seem to be bothered this all happens at pre 65 events now. it seems to have gone outside the rules now no one seems that bothered about it. no one checks the bikes at events before the riders go off to the sections. you could run what you like. Last week was at the most excelent Exmoor 3 day classic trial but now seems to be more twinshock then it is classic pre 65.. where riders blatlenty swap bikes for different days. run pre 65 bikes with modern forks and carbs with out hiding the mods on forks and frames ect. I am a Modern and pre 65 rider and have ridden pre 65 for quite a few years on and off mainly Triumph cubs and 3ta`s with original frames and amal carbs ect.. the only mods i have done are pvl ignition and modern front forks hiden in norton sliders. but other then that it has had no more done to it..its pretty original and with in the rules..but now i realise it not competive enough to compete against the trick bikes..can get close but have to work bloody hard. Have these bikes gone to far and is anyone actualy going to regulate these bikes and events??????
