  1. I thought you would fill the entry list no problem. Must be quite hard being a reserve though as you don't know if you will ride or not and how hard to train etc.
  2. Have you got a full entry again for The Scott?
  3. Agree with Scott T. To retard the ignition loosen the bolts and rotate the backplate counter clockwise. Page 12 of 16. sherco ignition guide.
  4. Does the 6mm setting make for a smooth but still powerful and lively engine or does it flatten the power right off to the point where it is slow and sluggish?
  5. Anti-clockwise to undo. This is how Wayne does it with an air impact wrench, if you are using a manual wrench then you will need a flywheel holder. Yes it's tight. Help for Dummy. http://www.sherco-moto.com/downloads/wayne...iming_Guide.pdf
  6. To stick on the grip's I have had a lot of success with wheel lacquer spray from car accessory stores. It seems to be a bit stronger than hairspray and it does n't seem to be effected by water either.
  7. I have tried both options of the standard ignition setting with the slow throttle and retarded ignition with standard throttle. I also tried changing the gearing as well but each to his own preferences I suppose but the retarded ignition with the standard throttle was the best option for me. It softened the power and gave me time to pick my lines and find bags of grip. Not sure of the actual ignition settings as the dealer carried it out for me but the difference was amazing, I was seriously considering selling my bike before a I could not get it to grip in wet and muddy conditions, however the power of the bike is now perfect for me, so much so that I am about to change to an 07 model. I will not hesitate to slightly alter the ignition as well if needed as the difference really was awesome.
  8. I really do appreciate your reply Copemech, thanks once again.
  9. Hi Copemech, couple of questions, have you retarded the ignition on your 07 or left it standard and did you ever try the additional base gaskets on offer on the Sherco spares website and did it feel any different to retarding the ignition? Thanks in advance.

  11. :agree: By the way Outlaw Dave I think you forgot to add Don Doerksen's phone number to your post so that we could check out that you actually did ride his bike.
