  1. Paul The 99 was the last year for the Techno and a great bike no problems - the 02 Rev 3 was also a great bike as long as it has the carb fix done - (if it's one of mine it has) As always it's a case of buyer beware. depends on who owned them and how they looked after them.
  2. Welcome aboard Mate - However it may be a while before you get to ride with all the snow we've had out West in both the States and Canada. Enjoy your Beta, they are a great bike.
  3. Good to hear that this event is still being held ( although canceled this week) I still have a 2nd class award in my collection from 1958 - The Trial was held at Corwin, by the South Liverpool Club - A couple of the Hot shots of that era, were Cyril Kenny and Gav Fergussen - Although if Eric Adcock showed up he usually won. - Great memories of riding in that area
  4. Matty - Check your spelling - seize = to grasp.to capture - siege = the surrounding of a fortified place to cut off supplies I did get a laugh from this mistake !! - 'fraid I can't help with the info: on Scotland - maybe Andy can!

    Sherco

We have had some new gaskets made locally, for the gas cap that fixes this problem.
  6. Things just got better - It's Happy hour !!!!
  7. With nothing to do except browse the web: - I thought the rest of the World would like to know that Global warming does not apply in Canada !! - In the usually balmy Okanagan Valley of British Columbia it is a crisp -14 today, but that is warm compared to Calgary with a temperature of -32 + windchill = -49!!! And that children, is why I'm sitting at the keyboard today, instead of heading for Alberta.- I don't care how many customers are hollering for parts or Oil, I 'aint movin. - Oh ! and as for the brand new bikes sitting in the shop - looks like they will remain shiny for at least a couple more weeks.
  8. I see they list Nantmawr as being in Shropshire - it's actually just over the border in Wales. ( My wife lived there)
  9. Hi Charlie - After reading your post - I clicked on and read a couple of the Golden Years articles - found them interesting, especially as I grew up in the Oswestry area, and rode some events around the Midlands. - bit before Chris started, - I was getting married and planning to move to Canada in the early '60's. - The Aus site is full of info: and I recommend it to anyone. - Thanks for posting this - Dave Rhodes ( alias Outlaw Dave)
  10. Hey Mark Sorry I didn't check your post for the past week - Good to see that you would fit right in with the criteria for riding the Outlaw. The only change you need to make is adapting to drinking lots of suds around the camp fire, as the pubs are a long walk from the site. - Even with the snow on the ground I'm starting to get excited about setting another one up #22.

    Bad Starting

    Fit a bigger Pilot Jet - suggest a #36
  12. Hey Mark - As Steve has explained, my original concept was to have a two day event, with old style English sections, and a long ( for This side of the pond) loop. - The fact that it is still very popular speaks for itself, and also that we now have an Outlaw Series. - Both days have different classes, and for 2008, we will be adding a "C" class Vintage, which will be for first timers. ( You will be required to buy lots of suds for the organizer in order to qualify for this class!!) - To sum up - These events are all about having FUN.
  13. From your address it looks like you live in Lampkin's backyard ? - Why not contact him?
  14. Hi Tony - We hold it the same weekend every year in the Okanagan Valley of BC. for 2008 the dates are May 17/18 ( The 17th is Armed Forces Day in the USA) As you know everything is possible with good planning, and you would certainly enjoy the experience.
  15. Hey Tony - As you know I log onto your site just about every day to read about your latest renderings, As Steve says, we have a liberal supply of mud at our events, and would love to see you & Brenda make the trip to one of our Outlaw Series. - The big one is our May long weekend, and this year will be the 22nd running of the event, which features Vintage on Saturday and Modern Sunday. The only problem is I don't think your big rig would fit into some of our parking areas!!!

  17. Hey Larry - email me direct at daverhodes@shaw.ca - I will take some pics of what I've got - I also have TYZ sprockets in stock.
  18. I see you were smart making a solid "Bash Plate" - We had a guy ride one of these in events back in the 80's good rider, but still managed to break the crankcase - big expense for him, but he fixed it up but then made the mistake of letting his buddy try it out - guess what his buddy did the same thing on the same rock- end of a beautiful friendship. !!
  19. Thanks for taking the time to post that Gizza - Great stuff - Also to Tony Down for the link to his site His very well written and funny accounts of riding in the Falklands had me in stitches.
  20. Looks B- Lovely Hovis - However that sky looks full of rain - just like I remember fro 40 years ago. - mind you thats a lot better than the B-snow I see out of my window.!
  21. Hey Hovis - Hmmm ! seems like some new names in that list - although I was definately in a couple of them on more than one occasion !! - Check out my site if you're interested www.outlawtrials.com - my artist made the Welsh Dragon look a bit Chinese !!
  22. Yeah ! I know what you mean - Did I mention the Pubs!!
  23. Hey Caerphilly - Can't remember much about the town as it was in 1967 ( 40 years ago) - I know we had some great nights at the local pubs though. - Oh yes and there is a Castle !!!
  24. The Sherco oil is drained by removing the sidecase bolt located under the shifter pedal then leaning the bike over approx 45 degrees - you will need to stand the bike up straight after the oil has drained , then lean over again - do this a couple of times to get all the oil out - refill with 450cc good quality NON synthetic. PS I note you are from Caerphilly - I worked at Allen's of Wales Printing many years ago. are they still there ??( next to the Cheese factory)
