The Revvy event went over BIG - even a shower of rain didn't spoil the fun - Trials demo on Saturday night was a hit, and lots of people watching. - looks like this area will be one of the best destination spots for all kinds of off road sports

And a good reason to buy something else.

Hats off to all the World riders for working with the confusing rules, but don't discount another Super star coming "Out of the Blue"

Just a note to dirtface - or others - if you post where you are located, you will find you get a better response. But certainly findings parts for any Beta model should not be a problem.

The Glacier House Resort near Revelstoke BC, will host a spectacular weekend of Family fun, on the September 21/22 weekend. - Sponsored by the local Revvy Riders, Dirt Bike Club. The event is expected to attract large crowds of enthusiasts to watch the Trials Display, and Free-style MX, plus take part in many other activities, including Trail rides, and riding at the World Class Enduro-Cross Track, or MX Track.. - A poker run is on the agenda for Sunday, and there are also camping facilities at the resort which features a large swimming pool and hot tub etc.

The Final rounds of the 2013 WTC Canadian Trials Championship, will take place this weekend Aug 31-Sept 1st in Quebec. - A poster with all the info: in both English and French, can be seen on the front page of Trials Canada.

Another point that I forgot ( being an older guy) is that cost is a huge factor for people attending an event - However, getting the schedule out early in the year is super important, and as somebody mentioned keeping the entry fee low is a must. - For us people in the Western part of North America, Forest Fires in the Summer are a real threat every year, so that could well have effected the low turn out at the USA event. The bottom line is that folk will come back to ride any event if they have had fun in previous years, whether that be in Yorkshire, Scotland, Wales or Canada and the USA. - It's the job of the organizer to listen to the riders. - end of story..

Forums are always interesting, especially when they get somewhat "heated" - I don't usually get involved, but growing up during the second World War in the UK, I do have a lot of background in both the reasons for the USA coming into the war, and also why there is still the animosity, between the two great Countries. - There is a saying that you have to walk in another man's shoes before you can understand him. While the thread is not about the Ugly American - there is no doubt that there are people from both continents ( usually younger folk) who have little knowledge of what actually went on between 1939 and 1945. - I came to Canada in 1965,- put on the very first Canadian World Championship in 1975, and have been a dedicated Trials rider since 1955. - I read all the forums on all the sites and do a daily blog on my site www.outlawtrials,com - For most people in Europe, they have absolutely no idea about the vast distance that North American riders have to travel, but on the other side of the equation - in the UK driving from the South of England to Scotland is a very big trip. - Tons of traffic in the UK versus wide open roads in the either Canada or the States. - At age 76, I've been lucky to meet , ride with lots of great people from England, and North America, and my final point is that while Trials, as somebody pointed out might be the "Secret Sport" - the true enthusiast will always be out there, whether they are in Europe or any other place in the World. - And most of them get along just fine.

It was Thomas Cordner (GG) of Victoria BC, who took the wins both days, at a great event put on by the CPTA. - With three wins and a second, he has now won the WTC #1 Plate in the Champ class for the 2013 Canadian National Championship. Other Classes that were clinched at the Ioco Rounds, were the Senior Intermediate, won by Ross Rathbone (Beta), - Advanced, Tanner Nordin (Beta), Intermediate Graeme Herman (Beta) and Junior Ken Knight (Sherco). - The last two rounds take place in Quebec on the September long weekend.

I'm surprised that over 400 people have clicked on this, but nobody has any comments - after all Mr Jarvis uses the Enduro Tyres - and the UK Would obviously be the main market to sell the Trials tyres.

Anybody tried these new Trials tyres yet? - if so what do you think?

We have a number of Betas and Shercos out with the new carbon reeds fitted, with everybody reporting improvement at the bottom end - some models may need a one notch leaner position on the needle.
