I think any post 2009 front pipe will fit but double check. Presume any regular dealer will sell, pipes including some site sponsors - had mine off ebay a few years ago.
If all wiring is ok on the twin switch then should be working, I know one rider didn't like the switch on the bars so either linked it out or left it open circuit to permanently be in one map or the other.
I only have experience with the twin switch on a PTB

To me sounds like all is working but ecu is saying don't run.
Check throttle free play, bank angle sensor, kill button, clean throttle body internals. Makes sure bypass/tick over port is clean on throttle body. Check air filter and air box.
Good luck

Is the clutch lever seized on the pivot bolt or is piston seized in the bore.
Has the brake master cylinder seal gone?
-
Check suspension plates and dig bone ate the right way round.
They can go in upside down and act like a lowering kit
-
35mm would be a better option and if too long could be shortened?
-
I don't believe the 2016 can be remapped as std but will need a PTB fitting. I think the 2016 have a 2 map switch though. If bike is second hand this may of been linked out.
A larger front pipe (s3 or similar) softens off the bottom end. You can also get a smaller end pipe (part of the road version) which takes a bit of the edge off.

I know at least 2 ACU T&E committee members that mark out trials, observe etc and are the clubs that you say are picked on by the ACU.
In this claim driven world getting all the Ts crossed and Is dotted is the only way to avoid huge payouts or negligence charges. Admin costs money unfortunately
A percentage of the money paid to the ACU from running an event is for insurance to cover officials, 3rd parties and even riders. As an official you are covered even when marking out a trial or going to look at a venue for sections. Easy to knock until you are a beneficiary.

They won't start wiith a fresh oiled filters so it knows something!!
Check fuel pump plug I've thought I've plugged mine in the past only to find it's not in correctly. They can be a bit of a fiddle when putting tank on.
We are assuming all your timing marks are back ok?
Good luck

Good video that.
It's difficult to explain to newcomers but that shows it well.
Cheers jimmy

Try lifting your inside foot of the footrest when practising your turns. This is almost how you need to be with all the weight on the outside footrest and your body and bike balanced.
Weight transfer on the footrest is good to practice as can be used to stand the bike up even in a straight line if it starts to slide.
I found it easier and more balanced to lift a foot off the inside rather than pushing down on the outside but either works.
Try and keep your shoulders parallel to the bars when you turn rather than just lengthening and shortening you arms with elbow movement. If you sty parallel it helps push your weight out on a corner.
Good luck

Regular oil changes help with the clutch
I had an anti judder kit but found clutch a bit vague.
Scrub metal plates with rough emery also seems to help
5 weight oil in the forks and about 3 to 5 psi works for me.

check the valve lifter lever - I had this jam once

A lot of 315r bits are the same as the 4rt - if you can get a post 2001 then wheels, brakes forks etc are the same (or bolt straight on) as is the swing arm, linkages etc
Quiet few 315s parts appear in bits for sale etc.
The genuine parts can also be good value - eg footrest hangers are about £20 genuine - or used to be. 4rt rear mudguards have been modified to fit as well.
Genuine brake pads used to be cheaper than aftermarket ones of the same make!!!
As with all Honda/Montesa they are well built
But I am biased
Good luck

I have an Ohlin's rear shock on my 4rt and having just redone suspension bearings it feels as if there maybe a bit of play in the shock bottom bearing.
Does anybody have any info on what type of bearing is fitted (rose joint/needle roller/ plain bush etc) and any readily available replacements. I have tried googling but seem to get info for road bikes. motor cross and rally cars etc.
Would be nice to have a replacement in my hands before stripping everything down
Many thanks

Some times its easy to "train" on thing you like doing rather than what you need to be practising. Also without somebody watching and advising you may be practicing bad habits which only makes them worse.
Try and identify what you are struggling with at each trial and then pick areas to work on or get advice. Go back to a section after the trial if ok with the organiser and see what you are doing wrong. Ask one of the better riders if they will come with you etc. Talk to the observer and see if they can help you out. They may not be riders but after spending a day observing a section they will know what works and what doesn't.
Trials is a friendly bunch and every body wants each other to get the maximum enjoyment so don't be afraid to say "help I struggling on this".
best of luck

As the weekend arrives and my trials preparation starts again I realised things have changed as I have got older
I now fettle the bike more by touch and memory as the bolts seem harder to find without glasses
My kit bag has more body supports than riding gloves
I walk stream more to ease my aching feet than finding rocks
I am slowly getting a better shine on my head than my Shoei
Riding gear is more comfy and warm than skin tight and trendy
I use more radox than red bull
Hats are more for warmth than fashion
A pre trial warm up and stretch has more chance of wearing me out and putting my back out rather than limbering me up
Kids are looking younger
Veterans are now my riding buddies
Anybody else noticed these things

You miss my point.
I'm totaly in agreement with what Doug Has had to do to the bike and any of those people saying different are not realistic. Hence my comments above.
Good luck Doug and team.
-
but can anybody do a proper wheelie for 2 hrs on a std trials bike??
-
How long is that though 2 hrs?
-
FYI -you can get two types of needle roller bearings -some have an internal cage and some have no cage but extra needle -these are classed as full compliment needle rollers as I recall and are what are fitted as std.
You can fit either but the full compliment ones last longer as the loading is spread over a greater area -they are more expensive though.
-
I have 2015 std bike, s3 pipe, softer map and an ohlins shock. I like the tech fiorks. Back end doesnt seem radically different with the ohlins but on ricks and streams you can just keep the front light and everything takrs care of the rest.
Maybe get the post 16 footrest hangers - probably about £50 set. Rest is pretty much bling unless you are doing lots of muddy/ climbs when a few more cc maybe benrficial.
-
Tyres, trials school and gym membership probably make more difference than anything you can do to the biike unkess you are riding expert.
-
radical thought - make the bike out of thicker metal so it doesn't break and has some residual value after a few years of use
There is a current post on TC about TRS fuel tanks splitting and Raga's bikes catching fire because they are so thin - draw your own conclusions
