  1. I Purchased a 23 300TXT Racing. I can commiserate with you on the starting. I did not see anything in the manual about throttle application. I have had it start both ways. With and without throttle. I have noticed if you use throttle, it needs a lot. Much more than just cracking it open when kicking. I need my left foot on a foot peg or on a step to get enough muscle into the kick starter to fire it up. I cannot seem to kick it hard enough while standing on the ground. My son seems to be able to do it however. I haven't got this thing figured out yet. If you learn the trick, please let me know. lol Aside from that, the bike is great! My son has a 2014 Sherco 300. Another fine machine. I think I like the GG better though.
  2. I am also in the US and recently picked up a 2023 300 TXT Racing. My dealer said to mix at 67:1. I notice that is what the manual calls for as well. That is the ratio I have been running and I have noticed very little smoke. I probably have 1.5 hours on the bike at this point. I also putt putt with the bike. I would recommend sticking with what Gas Gas recommends. European measurement is 1.5% if I recall.
  3. Hi All, Thank you for allowing me to sign up to this forum. I have been riding and racing (enduro's, MX and road racing) bikes a good part of my life but have just picked up my first trials bike. I have gotten a bit older (75) and figure it is time to really learn how to ride a bike. lol I recently picked up a 2023 Gas Gas 300 TXT Racing. I certainly will not be anywhere near the likes of Tony Bou but I am having fun. I reside in the northeast area of the US. I look forward to learning much from this forum.
